Hey guys, I just picked up a Spyder VS2, and I I love it. I just wish that they had some upgrades out for it. Do you guys know when they will start making upgrades for this gun?

Trinity Bad habitz is the only company I know of that has any upgrades for the marker as of yet.

take the gun apart and lube up everything. Wipe down the outside with a clean cloth or paper towels.

The VS front blocks look nice, but the gauge goes up to 1200 psi. You only need to look between 0 and 300 or so.

scpres1...did it come with a manual? Should be bolt and striker Orings (to oil). Grease a reg with dow 33 unless the manual says otherwise. When to lube it? After every day of play or every 2 cases or so. Kind of oil? Any paintgun oil from a proshop.

Unless I'm mistaken, the VS series uses derlin bolts, so oiling the bolt o-rings is a bad idea.

Aside from that, though, all good things to do :)

You still want to oil the o-rings. Just don't lube the bolt, though delrin technology has advanced from the times in which it swelled up, I've a few different delrin bolts, and nothing bad happens.

putting some oil on the bolt of my electra helped with some minor recocking issues when my hpa tank was running low. I know some people say that its bad and your bolt with swell and yadda yadda yadda... but as Hob said, technology has advanced and a little oil can be more beneifical.

How long will it take the swelling to go down if the bolt swells anyway?

If it swells put it in the freezer. If it goes down then you are safe. If it doesn't then you have to get some sand paper and sand it down or get a new bolt.

Should the freezer be an immediate thing to do? How long should it stay in the freezer anyway? I have to clean out my marker later, and I know with my luck something will go wrong. And if nothing goes wrong, its a good thing to know.

The thing under the barrel is the Regulator right? I want to get a new one for my VS2. Anyone know where I can get one.

Drefish99

No on the VS2 and VS3 the thing under the regulator is a gas through grip. If you want a new one you need to get one of the Trinity blocks to attach an aftermarket reg.

no that is the low pressure chamber and there is no point in changing it. the black part is the reg.

Well I want to get a cooler looking low pressure chamber, because the gun stock, is just not colorful enough lol. Ummm is there anypoint in changing the Regulator on the VS2? Also, where can I get one that will fit the VS2?

before i loaned out my 05 electra, i did check to see if the shocktech lpc would fit on my vs3. it does fit, but i didn't fire it, so im not sure if it has any beneficial value or not.

the shocktech low pressure chambers can be bought online and in many stores for anywheres between $12-20. they do come in variety of colors which is always nice.

What do Expansion Chambers actualy do?

Expansion chambers allow liquid CO2 to expand into it's gasseous state.

Low Pressure Chambers store co2/air between the reg and valve for the next shot.

Ok, so If I get an aftermarket one, Will that allow more CO2 into the expansion chamber?

druid

only if it has a physically bigger interior than the existing one.

Note...you only need an expansion chamber if you use CO2. You are better off getting an HPA tank because then you don't need to change a thing. See my sig for tanks.

Well I dont know what "HPA" means, But I don't use CO2, I use Air.

HPA=High Pressure Air.....yer already using it then...so...YOU DON'T NEED an expansion chamber. A REGULATOR would better service you. A CP long reg is a nice choice for about $60ish new but I think the design of the VS...you'd need to get a new Vertical Adapter (VA) like a CIP Assault Block or Trinity Block and standard threaded hose adapter to make it work (metric female, standard male in a 90* angle).

Sorry i'm a noob, but whats a Vertical Adapter, And a Block? And where can I get one?

CareBear-Killer

the verticle adapter is what allows you to attach a regulator. its the verticle air connection. the block is that whole peice, with the low pressure chamber and the verticle adapter.

... to help you pinpoint this stuff on your marker.. the low-pressue chamber is the peice right under the barrel, that sticks out from the marker. the front grip attaches to that block as well.

you can get them in a varity of PB shops. the 2 big ones are the trinity and the checkit assault blocks. i know you can get one of them from actionvillage.com
