i was shooting around today and i dropped my spyder down to 230 psi with no uncocking problems when i was shooting PAINTBALLS. The thing is, when i ran out, it would jackhammer like no other... im perplexed because it was working fine shooting paintballs, but when it was empty and was shooting blank, it would jack.... hmm

Blowback is responsible for re-cocking. If there is nothing for the air to push against and the same required amount of blowback is less... hmmmmm.
