Hey fellows, I question that I have been pondering for the past couple days is how the valve is retained in its place. Now I can tell that it has a valve retaining screw, but does it have the pin that older Spyder models have to prevent the valve from being pushed to far to wards the sear? (I brewing an idea to convert some of the VS internals to an Ariakon Sim-4:D .)

Look at the pictures from Otters review, it should help you answer your question. You would also probably need a smaller sized striker with a buffer infront like explained in Otters review. But not totally sure.

the valve is held in place by a single set screw located on the bottom of the body. there is a second buffer on the valve side that helps to absorbe the shock of the hammer.
