Ever since I was a young boy
I've played the silver ball
From Soho down to Brighton
I must have played them all
But I ain't seen nothing like him
In any amusement hall
That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball

He stands like a statue
Becomes part of the machine
Feeling all the bumpers
Always playing clean
He plays by intuition
The digit counters fall
That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball

He's a pinball wizard
There's got to be a twist
A pinball wizard
He's got such a supple wrist

How do you think he does it?
(I don't know)
What makes him so good?

He ain't got no distractions
Can't hear those buzzers and bells
Don't see lights a flashin'
Plays by sense of smell
Always gets a replay
Never tilts at all
That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball

I thought I was
The Bally table king
But I just handed
My pinball crown to him

Even on my usual table
He can beat my best
His disciples lead him in
And he just does the rest
He's got crazy flipper fingers
Never seen him fall
That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball

It is amazing. The cool thing about people who are deaf or blind is how well they learn to use their other senses.

he clicks. the clicking is echolocation. basically, hes been blind since he was 2. at age 2, your brain is still capable of fully reprograming itsself. because of that, his brain basically shut down his visual section, and boosted all the others. his hearing is what was boosted the most. he clicks, and the sounds echo's back to his ears, which go to his brain and creates an image. the exact same way a bat or a dolphin "sees" the human brain is quite amazing at how adaptable it is. especially at very young ages. some children have parts of their brain damaged, and the other side of their brain will completly replicate the damaged section. in older people though, the brain can't mirror sections liek that, so if one section is damaged, 12 more smaller sections will pick up the slack.

in health i watched a video...about a kid who doesnt have arms and how he drives, eats, and cooks along with everything else with his feet.

it is amazing how people do learn how to use differnt parts of their body to make up for their disablility
