Ok so i got my liscense on thursday.
Now i cant drive cause my parents dont want to put insurance for me on their vehicles.

Now i have to find my own vehicle, purchase it and pay my own insurance.

But according to my father, i only have to pay half of the price and he pays the rest, but i buy the insurance.

Which sucks cause the vehicle, has to be an automatic(no problem), 4x4(ok cool), and an F150(WHY!!!!!)

Not that i have anything against F150's its mainly to do with the 4x4
since it snows up here about 2/3 of the year, i need a 4x4 vehicle, only i found lots of cars to my liking which i can definitly pay half for, but i cant have it cause its not a 4x4.

Don't get a muscle car for your first car, especially an older one. It already seems like having to pay for the insurance isn't gonna be easy, so now factor in all the other costs.

Just get a truck. I promise if you do anything related with the outdoors, you'll be happy you got the truck. I'm selling my car to get one.

But you're smart and getting a Taco. He's forced into getting a F150.

True..although we had no problems with our Ford, my dad just sold his and bought a used Nissan Frontier for gas mileage purposes..

No, it's technically not the cars fault, but it's just leaving a young couple alone. Give them the opportunity and the accessibility and it's going to happen. Why have a fast car in the first place, so you can tell your friends, "man, I got up to the speed limit in like 5 seconds" Sometimes you have to think rationally and I think by him buying an f-150, his parents are teaching him to think rationally.

Speaking from experience (grew up in alaska) get the sensible truck then work on the fun car later. If you get the fast car, do you plan on driving it all year round? I had an F250 as my thrasher and a 68 396 SS elcamino as my nice car, sure was nice driving the truck when the weather was bad. Just a thought...
