Do the internals for the vs series work on normal spyders? like if you put the new valve, striker, springs, and bolt, would it work?

Hi,
i dont beleive so,read Otters review,i have taken my VS2 apart and the strker is roughly half the size of a normal Spyder ,the velocity spring is shorter also.
:D

i will be fitting things up tonight/tomorrow.

just because the springs are shorter, along with the hammer, this is made up for the valve extension. to fit the parts, fron what i can see, requires you to remove the valve body pin spanning the bottom tube. you will also need to mill a slot for the top, much like a Spydamator conversion.

as a side point, i am sure one could do a Spydamator conversion to the VS if one wanted.

what slot are you reffering to?
don't forget, you'd also have to grub the original exhaust hole, and make 3 new ones

ok that sounds cool. It would be cool to to be able to buy replacement parts and make your own vs.

oh, haha, yeah, i suppose if you didn't have a top cocking gun you would have to mill that slot wouldn't you.
actually, i think it would be cool to take the valve, striker, and mainspring out the vs, and stick it into a spyder with an assaultblock, torp reg, and an aka lightning bolt.

k, gang... the results....

everything does fit. like in an older Spyder, you have to connect the striker with the bolt if you do not have a milled out top cocking slot. you will also need to use the VS velocity since it is longer than a standard Spyder velocity adjustor.

did you shoot it like that or just put every thing together?

i did not do extensive testing.... but it did fire the 25-30 paintballs that i used. used a standard ESP frame as the VS frame is not a good, secure fit.

Sweet, did it work well from what you did see? And I assume you just stuck it in a normal LP spyder so it was runnong off a normal reg, instead ofth e VS reg? Did the parts fit well, or did they seem like they were kindof out of place/not really fitting well?

guess i should expand.

i transferred the following internals into a Spyder (specifically a Fenix):

bolt, valve, valve spring, striker, main spring, velocity adjustor.

the existing parts on the Spyder was barrel, Bob Long Torpedo, ESP with T-Board.

no problems on the brief test that i did.
