Anybody else think this is to good to be true? So sad for me, just spent $150 on LP stuff and the wifey says my Christmas is coming early with that stuff! With 3 sons, 2 birthdays, and Christmas coming, she says it's a no go.....she just doesn't understand.....Maybe another time, or maybe somebody on here would like my collection of Magic: the Gathering cards from high school? Ah yes, wrong forum...........

dang thats cheap, I just hope this last a while cuz I am about to get an ion or promaster in the near future, so as soon as I decide I am going to order the kit ASAP.

personally, I'd think it a misprint

10-11-2006, 03:37 AM
Yep its a miss print.... i added it to my cart and it said $80 =(...

I did it and it said 39.99

I IM'd Doc to confirm it. He has a dealer account with FCP

I put it in my cart and it said 40$.
I'd buy one right now if I didn't need the money to fix my gun. grrrrr

I was skeptical until I added it to my cart and it said $39.99. I hate begging for stuff, but the fields around here require you buy their paint and my wife doesn't understand the "need" for accuracy.....dang.

Doc cleared it up.

It is an Angel threaded barrel, but you get one adapter for Ion or Cocker or Spyder with it.

Who's James Eggersdorfer, N Mankato MN? I just ordered 20 of them for you lol - :D

I just fixed the link so someone wouldn't -

Whoa, you sure its thge kit pluis a barrel adapter hacker, cuz that would essentially ruin the point of it being a kit...

Edit: darn they acctually say that on the page. Still makes the point of it being a kit useless.

10-11-2006, 01:52 PM
Wait I am so confused... so its all the backings, pluss the angel threaded front that has an adapter? Isnt this a great deal? How does it defeat the purpose? Wont it still work the same way?

No the barrel backs are all angel threaded, but if you get a "spyder" one they just give you an angel thread to spyder thread adapter.

10-11-2006, 02:43 PM
ohhhhhhhhhhhh so your only buying the adapter. Wow talk about confusing.

10-11-2006, 02:49 PM
No, you're buying the adapter, the five backs, and the front of your choice.

My question is this: when it says 14" Red Front, does that mean that the front alone is 14", giving you a total length of 20", or does it mean that the front is 8"??

I tmeans its a total of 14" including th back. However, when yo have an adapter before the control bore, the point of having a control bore is negated.

10-11-2006, 04:50 PM
It looks to me that you would have a small bit of space before the control bore, but I'd have to see it firsthand to be absolutely certain. And the adapter adds 2" to the length of the barrel, so take the length for the kit and add 2" to that and that's how long it will be (i.e. 14" kit would be a 16" barrel).

If only I had $40, I'd pick one up myself, LOL!

And remember the adapter adds a couple inches to the total barrel length.
