first, dissassemble your marker... your bolt, striker, buffer, and back plate with your shim and main spring will come out.... take your bolt and bring the hatch forward back and forth for about an hour... (watch some tv while you do it :D) i did it for a couple days... an hour a day. Also, if you dont want to dissasemble your marker, just put a squeegee down the feed tube, and fire away with co2 or HPA connected.

To answer your second question, you will need to dissasemble your marker.. for a more in depth description go to the "Paintball Bible" ( ottersccustoms.com) there, it will tell you to lube the striker oring, and bolt orings if you have them. there ya go, enjoy your new spyder

Here I'll give you the exact parts you need to lube.
1) all #9 o-rings.
a. 3 of them are located on part #185 (vertical adapter)
b. 1 of them located on part #186 (low pressure chamber)
c. 2 of them located on part #14 (valve body)
That is it for the #9 o-rings.
Next lube (red) o-ring #19A(located on striker bolt)(striker bolt part #JE18A)
Now, Finally, lube up the entire Striker Bolt.--------^

There you go thats all the stuff you need to lube.

ok sweet thanks. one more thing... how will i know when i've broken the bolt in?

10-04-2006, 05:17 PM
once you start breaking it in manually which means removing the ACS bolt from your marker and pulling the rod up and down or back and forth then it should be hard at first. I would say do it about 1000 times or for about 30 minutes to an hour and you are set to go.
