the Amish around here are good fellows. the only thing i have against some of them are when they do not abide by the road rules. i could careless about there religion.

but to do that to really innocent children like that. they have hard enough trouble with dealing with us "Englishmen" than to be in the middle of this type of thing. just shows, NOTHING is safe no matter who or where.

Man - I'm a parent of daughters AND a teacher....I don't want to live around you, Otterman....

That's horrible. What's wrong with people anymore? I mean, what has to click inside them that says the only way they'll feel better is if they kill someone?

evidently, he has kids of his own. not sure exactly why. but he carried out revenge for something that happened 20 years ago. he was local. tied and shot all the females execution style. left all the males go. right now, 3 confirmed dead, one dying in a state troopers arms. 7 wounded. the teacher got out and called 911.

We need to post more guards (with bigger guns) in schools....

I mean comon... When i was in Junior High there were 2 armed guards on duty the whole time school was in... thats for about 1200 kids... and now i move onto Highschool (me = Junior) and there are only 4 armed guard tops... usualy only 2.... Seriously 2 guards to protect and keep 3000+ kids in order?.... IMO we need to have specialty trained police/guards trained to deal with school situations... because this is becoming out of hand....

EDIT... i had to add to what i said because it seemed way to cold hearted....

i forgot to mention too, last year in a town not so far away in Leola, PA, there was some guy that killed 6 people and wrapped them up in a carpet in the basement.

yeah, i remember back in the day that i carried my rifle into school. it was on purpose and with permission as i was on the schools rifle team. must pop in for a visit to see what type of "security" is there.

Wow, that made me want to cry... Thats horrible... and even scarier... Its around 3 1/2 hours south of me...

We dont have alot of those kind of things that happen here. Although we do have the third highest crime/homiside rate in the US... (Last time I checked) At least when people here kill people... they tend to be adults. Sometimes kids get caught in crossfire though. :(

Our world is such a unhappy place to live in...

If you dwell on the crappy stuff that happens, yes. If you realize how many good people are out there, no.

Thanks for pointed that out moe. There is still hope, when I visited south Africa this summer, I was amazed how friendly the blacks were. They showed little to no resent to the boers, after the aparthied. For anyone who dosn't know about the aparthied I would suggest they see this movie, and you will appreciate how good you have it,Amazing movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106464/)

the guy wasn't amish, if that makes anyone feel any better...

i dont believe the problem is a lack of security in school, and i dont believe having better security will make the problem any better. we may have less violence in schools, but the root of the problem still hasn't been fixed and it will be painfully obvious in other ways.

durrell
10-02-2006, 08:16 PM
It shouldn't be up to security guards to stop violence. It's the kids that have changed, not the schools and security guards.

Moe
10-02-2006, 08:25 PM
It should be up to stupid parents who have their kids when they are 17 and don't know how to raise them.....or parents who just plain suck. no matter how old they are.

thechubbss12
10-03-2006, 04:16 AM
Ehh but we are not going to change the way we are rasing our kids... people suck too bad to change... so we kinda need to do something to protect our selfs and meybe "kill" the problems when needed...

what a sick sick man. turns out the "incident" that happened 20 years ago was that he molested little girls. and, he planned on doing that again. found in his truck was eye bolts on 2x4's and other... well, sexual enhancing stuff. was also angry at god for the death of his little girl 9 years ago.

Any one who protest a military funeral should be charged with high treason

edit maybe not high treason and just reg treason
