It was raining all yesterday, last night, and today up until like 2. As you can imagine, we got pretty flooded, especially with the canal in my back yard. Whenever someone drove by, they sent wakes up hitting our garage. This one guy was driving by in a Sebring, and the water was literally up to his hood. We didnt have cable all day, and i was making this thread like 2 hours ago until my power went out. It was a really wierd time for it because it was already getting better by that time. My neihbor and I wanted to go canoeing in the street, but our parents wouldnt let us.

Let's put it this way. There were areas that cars had water up to their ROOFS. Flooding was horrible here, but my neighborhood doesn't get flood problems, I live more inland than Marv does. Not much more, but enough.

Sorry about the flooding man... The rain is up here ,Northern VA, now and we are getting a lot.

We should see some flooding too, luckily not at my actual house, just around town. We are above grade.

i was talking to my ex last night and this is what she said:

her: we had a 2 hr delay to day

her: no, hurricane ernesto
me: i forgot about that...
her: it wasnt that bad

i wonder how D did, he's further north, but further inland too...

I'm not sure if you're speaking of me, but I'm south of Marv..but everything was good here. There's a few minor flooded places. We are in such a drought, it helped more than it hurt I think.

Well, we go rain here tonight. LOTS OF IT TOO! My street was a river. They say we are suppose to get storms for the next 3 days because of the hurricane on the west side of Mexico.

This is the REAL flooding

Want a cookie? I'm not trying to start a flamefest, but your area has always been a possible victum of bad flooding because of being under sea level. Us, on the other hand, are above sea level and where still having cars totalled from flood damage and having your kitchen turned into a pool.

Also, you were hit with a Category 4 hurricane. We got hit with at most a Tropical Depression. You don't expect flooding like we had from that.

My neighborhood got less flooding than marv's did, but I'm probably at the highest point in the area. Let me find the pictures of the neighborhoods that got it WAY worse than marv's.

Its funny we had a slight flooding problem in FL. It rained more after hurricane ernesto than it did when it passed over...go figure

Oh, yeah? I worked so hard in my bathroom, that my DAUGHTERS bathroom backed up! The neighbor's bathroom was burping for days afterwards - they actually roped my block off and called the techs from Eureka to come sample the air and now my backside is a scientific study - Warning - never eat Mexican food from a Chinese restaurant!

Sorry for the hijack fellows! Just got back from OKC from a workshop and I'm a bit loopy!

I wish we could get just a bit more rain here, not flooding of course, but enough to be able to lift the burn ban, at least!
