how bad would it be to play with a nine volt every once in awhile when the rechargeable is drained

they don't last long....sometimes the board will glitch at low voltages...

No ive used 9 vlt in my spyders all the time.... in fact ive never charged my spyder before...
and no it doesnt hurt the marker...
