Well for the barrel question I've always thought the J&J barrels are the best bang for your buck and if you get that buy from carolinapbs.com

The lockscrew can be found at homedepot or any local hardware store. All you needa do is cut ot to the right length. It's really not needed though.

Good barrels along that price would be the progressive, cp 1 piece, J&J Ceramic

I'll get you the screwsize as soon as i find it ;)

Not quite sure what a locking screw is. Are you talking about the cocking knob that screws into the striker?

Good barrel for $30-40, hmmm... Well there is the SP Linear, CP has a good one piece barrel, and of course there is Dye, they make a couple good barrels, the best being the UL.

Welcome to the forum and keep the questions coming.

The lockscrew is the little screw thats on the velocity adjuster ;)

Thats a pin, not a screw. At least all the spyders I have its been a pin.

I know what you are saying and I would call it a screw too. I still think you should be able to pick it up at a Home Depot/Lowes/Menards....whatever you live near to.

You could either pick it up at one of those stores or you could get it here: http://www.sundragonpps.com/paintball_spyder_repl_parts.html

I'd need to know where this "locking screw" came from that's more specific... It depends which one you're talking about. I can think of 4 different ones off the top of my head, lol!

For a barrel, I'd sugest a CP 1 peice, J&J Ceramic, SP Teardrop, or SP Progressive. It'd depend on which you could find for the cheapest in the best condition and which styling you like the most.

Well, it mostly depends on presonal preference. I've heard good things about J&J barrels, I have a 32* Night stick on my gun and I really like it. As for length, 14" is good, anything longer than that will probly just waste air. Otters has a good explanation of barrels and it will probably help in your decision. Hope this helps

hes talking about the lil screw that you use a hex key with... its attached to the volocity adjuster ^_^ some reason mine keeps coming loose.. :(

Edit FTW. :dodgy:

Put a dab of blue loctite (JUST a DAB... meaning not more than a DROP) or some teflon tape on it. That'll snug her right up. ;)

Sometimes you have to tighten the pin enough so it digs in and it should stay.
