They're just different models pretty much, just a few minor differences.

asyou can see above....
TL is a rear cocking model
TL-X is top cocking
The top cocker would be easier to make into a spimmy....imho

TLX is the king spimmy on here. Check the non spyder of the month contest to see it. Its a masterpeice.

this is going to sound ***** but... everyone is so nice here ^_^ ehehe well thanks everyone for their input... and another question, can the vertical adapter thingy from the pilot acs fit onto the tl plus? [lol.. i need something fun to do before i get 400 dollars to make a spimmy]

Yes, it should.....

A TLX is nice for making a Spimmy but you still have to make the top cocking space longer to accomedate the timmy bolt. This is something you have to do on all Spyder body's top cocking or not.

deffinetely should fit. Cool milling for your timmy is a need :p

ehehe ^_^ by the way does anyone know if i replace all the stuff on the TL with Pilot ACS parts ... would it perform just as well? [the electric trigger, barrel, and the expansion chamber?] I just like the body of the TL more then the Pilot..

the bore of both bodies is the same....
should work great! (as long as your TL is top cocking)
08-21-2006, 01:48 PM
ouch >.> its rear cocking.. thats why im not replacing the bolt o_O

yup, you should be fine then. You really only need to replace the VA and electro frame, and then it should be the same. The internals of a spyder are the same as any other (in most cases). Just safe the pilot internals for spare parts ;)
