If one of you guys could...........remove the feed neck and take a pic of the area where the feedneck goes on to the body and the underside of the feed neck like a close-up where the ball is. Is it seperate or is it built into the feed neck? I'm wondering if the body of the MR1 or 2 can be modified to fit this new feed neck that has the ball detent in it. If it's like just drill the hole larger or something that would be a breeze. It would be nice to get rid of this rubber thing -

Also.....isn't there another detent on the other side as well? Pics of it removed and the detent as well? -

I can send pics a little later but wanted to just let you know that the MR3 ball detents are not actually integrated into the feedneck. Rather, they fit into holes that are drilled into the chamber underneath the feedneck (and the same thing under a small plate on the other side).

If you take the feedneck off you may notice an angled slot where the back of the rubber detent will rest.

You may want to just try replacing them with stiffer Timmy detents before retro-fitting another MR feedneck on.

So then you're saying I could just drill and tap a hole underneath the existing feed neck and install the newer type ball detents? Are they just a round detent with threads like Smart parts detents? If so I could just order some from Kingman. Are they 90* from the side surface of the body or on an angle? The prob would be making sure they are located in the exact right spot. Some pics for a visual would be great -

I drilled a MR1 I believe for a ball type detent, actually an Autococker detent. I drilled it opposite the original detent on the side with nothing on it. It worked well, only thing is you have to drill the hole out, then counter sink it so the detent goes in far enough to do its job.

Acctually the thing you labeled the detent slot on the last pic is the eye wire channel, or so it looks from the pics?

Crimminny, I didn't even notice this posting lol. Thanks, that's perfect. So the wiring to the trigger frame from the eyes is basically in a channel milled into the body? The eyes look like they're at the bottom portion of the breech. Once the t-board is released for the MR2, I'm wondering how I'm gonna handle that. Thanks again for the pics and text. Perfect!!!!!!! -

Yeah, you're right. The very first time I took the cover off the detent was sitting in that groove perfectly at the end. When I look at it now it's just long enough to support those wires. Thanks for the update.

Can anyone get a shot(further away, both sides) of the eye channel from where it comes from the trigger frame to the eye hole? You'll need to remove the plastic piece. I'm thinking of a t-board for my MR2 but would like a look-see of the way Kingman has the MR3 routed. Would be nice to make a template for MR2 owners in case they wanted to try the t-board addition. Thanks -
