View Full Version : What do you drive? v.132782938729

We had this one a few times over at KUSA, and with the car avatars popping up I figured I'd go ahead and make one. Just post what you drive, any mods done, anything else you'd like to tell us about it. This is for cars YOU own or are primary driver of. We've all seen Ryan's Cobra replica, no need to see it again. ;)

1998 Acura Integra LS
-JDM Honda front end conversion(OEM HIDs, Azect front lip($350-500)
-H&R Sport springs(gonna get something different soon, still too much wheel gap)
100% stock motor, because reliability is prefered when you don't have steady, consistant income

Future Plans:
-Paint. After doing my front end conversion my car is multicolored, job troubles kept me from getting it earlier. I'm just gonna color match the front end to the rest of the car.
-LS/Vtec head swap. I'm waiting for a B16 head to pop up cheap, and build that up that plop it on my LS block. Best of both worlds, HP or the Vtec motors, torque of the LS. Should be somewhere around 180hp to the wheels, which will be all I want for auto-x/track events
-Suspension mods - ITR front and rear upper strut bars, JDM ITR 22mm rear sway bar, tokico illumina adjust. shocks(after I get new coilovers)
-Rims. I'm looking at getting a nice set of rims, like Volks or Works, or if I'm lucky, I'll find a set of real nice Mugen rims cheap.
-Lots of other JDM goodies. Side skirts and rear lip to complete the Azect kit. Various interior parts, maybe a Mugen wing for extra JDM points.

I'm hoping to have everything done except the head swap by end of this year, maybe the head too if I'm lucky and run into some deals.

Okay, now your turns. I'll post pics after I get my hood. I should have the paint in Feb, so then I'll have a super cool one color car.

It gets me around, and it was cheeeeeeeeep. only like 1500. had about 100000 miles on it when i got it. has about 130000 now. Its been reliable. Only about 300 into it with repairs. I cant complain.

I drive a Merc. First car I've had in years. Normally drive a truck or SUV. I'm looking for an old truck like a mid 70's vintage in great shape. There are plenty of cherried old trucks in this area but haven't seen a nice one for sale thus far. These are trucks that when you open the hood, you can actually see the engine. There is so much extra room you can climb into the engine compartment and work on it yourself if need be. Very few electronics.......simplicity is bliss when you don't need to pay a mechanic tons because you can figure things out w/o a $50,000 analyzer. I <3 old trucks -

01-08-2006, 04:51 AM
not mine, but my dads (i wouldve gotten a early '70s Camaro SS, but...long story, lets just say we couldnt get a third car)

Red 1998 Ford F-150 XLT w/Triton V8
Black Billet Aluminum upper and lower grilles
i wanna say it has a 4" lift, but im not exactly sure...
31.5" off-road tires (cant remember the brand right now...too lazy to go outside)
16" American Eagle wheels http://www.rockymountainsusp.com/AE_117.jpg
Leer camper shell (for the road trips down to my grandparents)
Dual exhaust w/ black Glasspacks!
tinted windows (15% & 5%)
Cold air intake & some small stuff--i think the total HP is somewhere around 235...

then, the piece of junk:
1991 metallic black BMW 730i
17" RH rims (probably stock from the factory, ive seen a couple of 'em with them on)
broken windshield (courtesy of my little brothers)
messed up engine (wont start, and my dad wont fix it 'til he gets back)

for those of you who say fords suck, so did my dad, but we've had almost no problems with this one and it has over probably over 100,000 miles on it.

2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS
Bone stock and staying that way. Just wish I got better mileage doing 70-80 as my gauge drop's a lot quicker than doing like 65! I've put 60,000 miles on it in 21/2 year's and have only put $500 in repair's on it! Sitting at 108,000 miles right now!

Next car will be a four door, four cylinder six speed and able to carry a bike rack! That's the only thing that tick's me off with my car now I can't get any type of bike rack on it!
