Ya. I think I want a CP. But I'm not sure if I should get a shorty or a long one. Which looks the best??

08-15-2006, 06:47 PM
long ftw.

08-15-2006, 06:48 PM

cool guns =)

Anybody got a link?? I want the reg to be long enough to have a level macro line. Like the stock reg is. Also, I think i'm goin to give her a name like hacker did. :D What should I name her??

08-15-2006, 06:57 PM

i say go with that one
id name her................... betsy lol

Betsy...... May be a winner.lol. I like that reg, a lil bit much for me. I might just buy a used one.

Ion reg = CP reg in performance, to be entirely honest.

That would be why the new 07 shockers have Ion regs.

08-15-2006, 07:27 PM
So your saying not to get a cp reg??

08-15-2006, 07:50 PM
Go with the shorty CP reg and put a 90 degree fitting on it if you want it to be straight.

Here's a picture of my friends ION with a rail and a CP shorty reg.

Welcome to the Ion Family... Please make us proud :)

FYI, not all CP regs have a macro fitting you can change. My CP long does not, I would need to shave the bottom of the reg a little to put a 90* in.

Look at my sig to see a CP long.

Again welcome the to the club!!!

the whole point of the long reg is so you dont have to see the macro fitting, the macro just goes straight into the bottom, looks much better imo.

Troof. And it's more comfy.

I'll make yaw proud!! I'm planning on getting a new body, bolt, reg, barrel, possibly trigger frame. Then I'm goin to get it annoed all dust silver with silver polished accents. It's goin to be a while till I get it exactly the way i want it, but when it's done, i'll post a pic of her!

nice ion... id say go with a cp shorty then get a 90* macro fitting, looks better cause theres less line.

btw dont forget to buy that cp reg from durrel ;)

AKA 2-Liter FTW.. CPs are nice, but the AKAs are far better.. I have one on my ION and I never get over +/-2 FPS.. I have never used a CP, but The AKA's are really nice..

08-16-2006, 04:47 AM
EHh all 3 of the Cp i have owned got great perfromance after being broken in +/-4 fps on a chrono.... Which is good IMO.

Upp it alot and you should be happy with its performance....

08-16-2006, 06:05 AM
How about a Dye inline reg?? I read the reviews on pbreviews and some where good and some where horrible. What do yaw think??

08-16-2006, 08:08 AM
there pretty expensive and you dont usually see them on non dye guns for some reason. my vote goes for either a cp if you wana be like everyone else or a Macdev gladiator or sidewinder if you wana be different.

08-16-2006, 11:18 AM
At Carolina Paintball supply there only 50 bucks. That's cheaper than CP. I think i'll just go with CP since it's more common
