Yeah i have a spyder imagine( 03 i think) and there are two problems. First, there is a small metal ring that bounces back and forth between that round metal block just above the trigger(looked at the diagram and i still can't figure out the name of it) and when i shoot it bounces between that and the other half of it. Anyways i don't remember anything moving between that when i got the marker so i guess it can't be good...next problem. For some reason when i shoot the whole marker spudders and the bolt shakes back and forth really fast as it moves in. Is this because my c02 tank(20oz) was almost empty or is the striker o-ring screwed up or what? Thanks for any help guys! i appreciate it!

how empty is empty? that could be it if the tank was very close to empty but if it is like half full the problem is something else.

Could you be referring to the solenoid? The big thing that clicks when you pull the trigger and the gun's on?

If the CO2 tank is empty, then that would explain the spuddering problem. ;)

bigred speaks the truth.....the solonoid is 3 parts...a stationary block, the actuator coil (copper ring) and plunger. That ring moves because there's an electric current running through it...it's an electromagnet...

Yeah i think thats it. But there is a tiny very thing metal ring in between in the two bigger parts so is that how its supposed to be? Kind of like what the guy above said.

yes...that ring is supposed to be there and yes it will bounce back and forth while firing the marker. It's what helps control the electromagnetic field...

Yup, the D-man speaks the truth too. ;) That's supposed to be there, as Druid said.

About the spuddering though, is your tank almost empty where you can depress the valve pin easily?

wait dont u mean a sear instead of a solenoid? a solenoid is for Electro-Pnuematic markers.

covert...there must be....10,000 different solonoids. Some are electro-PNEUmatic (air - like on Ions, timmies, angels, shockers, etc...) and some are electro-MAGnetic (magnetic force - Spyders, clones, ect...). Stock ESP framed Spyders come with electro-MAGnetic noids...

you hit the trigger which pushes the micro switch. This closes the circuit. Power goes from the battery to the capacitor (and rest of board) and eventually ends up making the noid "click". That "click" is the back plate moving forward, causing it's guide pin to hit the sear...thus tripping it to make the striker move forward and open the valve. When the marker recocks, the sear holds the striker in place until ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ happens again.....

Okay so it supposed to be like that then. Thanks guys. And yeah my air tank was about empty so i guess thats why it spuddering. Thanks for the help yall i really appreciate it. peace
