So, a bunch of guys on here in the KUSAChat last night came to talk about Ramen noodles, and how they should be eaten. So, I decided, heck, why not? A Picture thread! Unfortunately, someone stole my CF card so I can't take pictars as I cook my Ramen Noodles (aka Oodles Noodles) for lunch, but maybe, I will just use my Camera Phone. And get better pictars tommorow.

Anyhow, if you happen to be eating ramen noodles tonight, or sometime in the future, take photos of how you like it cooked, and what you like in it. I think it'd be interesting. Sorry to say, I have yet to see a Dodgy Ramen Noodles. Maybe floating hot dogs?

GHOST: I'm going to get the old memory card for the camera, and get pictras.

wow, that's amazing, I have NEVER seen anyone do that before. But I have a water boiler my family has had for like... 15 years, and we use that to cook it sometimes. I usually just put it in a bowl with 1.5 cups of water, and microwave it for 3 minutes.

Claus, let me get this straight, you've NEVER had ramen noodles before? are you... You're joking right? Beef is good, Chicken good (I havne't had it in a while), and Oriental is good, saltier than the rest, though.

When I was in college we would eat it like out of the coffee maker like 3-4 times a week. There was 1 microwave in the dorms and it was not on our level, it usually was in use, and nobody liked the kids who hung out in the kitchen area....so we improvised. We were not allowed to have microwaves in the dorm rooms but we were allowed a coffee maker. It produced hot water and we had less dishes to do by using this way. Taste no different....unless you didn't wash it out well enough for either way (ramen flavored coffee, and coffee flavored ramen.)

Bringing back the memories!

Ummm... Maybe Connor is adding a mysterious ingredient?

So, I'm going to put up a recipe tonight or tommorow on how to make 'Chang Fun' and what to put on them, well not make, but cook. It's a chinese dish I eat everyonce in a while. And you probably don't know how to pronounce it, so don't bother trying, LOL. So if you see this, come back and check in the morning for it.

This is better than whatever Top Ramen put out before. Maybe not spicy to me, but to the rest of normal people, it's really hot and spicy. I have a taste for spicy things (or rather, I don't...) and sour things.

I used to make them in the coffee maker too. I tend to make them when the wifey is gone and there is nothing else to eat. I drain the water and then put the flaver packet in, allong with some chopped up vienna sausages.

1 packet Cajun Chicken+ 1 packet of Creamy Chicken= pure secks.

But like I said the water must be drained first and then you put the flaver packet in. also can be cooked with butter to add flaver to the noodles.

So I made some amazing Ramens today, only I didn't know if they would be amazing, and I couldn't find my camera for that "just in case" picture. When I get the ingredients again (hopefully soon), I'll make it again. I boiled the noodles on the stove (with butter in the water of course), then after that I poured almost all of the water out and dumped them on a plate. Add Chicken Mushroom flavoring and soy sauce (mmmm...) and mix it in. Then add chopped chicken (here's where I need improvement, I used twice as much chicken as I needed and I forgot to heat it). Then, salt and pepper. I will make this again, and I will have pictures.

Yeah.. I know this thread is old but I find it funny seeing how white people eat ramen noodles ^_^ lol... do you guys even put the noodles in the pot while its still boiling? or do you just pour hot water in a bowl.. v_v

Btw if you actually want to learn how to make "REAL" asian food.. then you should check out my sisters bento blog.... http://www.cookingcute.com

or i guess you can just stare at pictures of food on the gallery section of the site?

just ignore the plum and pink layout..

Doesn't look like much, but it was delicious. You have to boil the noodles with butter in the water so they absorb. Then while cooking, I added Carl's Seasoning (which is delicious and hard to find and goes on everything) to the boiling noodles so some of that flavor would be absorbed too. I then drained the noodles, added Ramen chicken flavor, more Carl's, a lot of black pepper, some red pepper flakes, and hot chunks of chicken.
