I just got my MR2 last friday...I must say I am impressed with the overall performance and accuracy. However, I am finding myself having to recock the gun over and over again (usually in full auto mode, but also sometimes in semi and burst mode) I believe I broke in the bolt correctly...I took it out and moved the acs spring up and down aboout 500-600+ times then the next day I tried breaking it in with the bolt in the gun by sticking a pencil down the feed neck into the chamber and firing and recocking about 500+ times. What else could be causing this to have to be recocked constantly? I am running a VL revolution tripod loader that is rated to feed 15bps...and I know full auto mode is only rated at 13bps. So i dont think the speed of my hopper has anything to do with it. I would also like to note that I havent had any other problems with this gun whatsoever such as a bad ball detent or chopping paint, etc...just this annoying recocking issue. Any info or advice is appreciated. Thanks!

it could be your acs bolt working. whenever the bolt prevents a chop the bolt becomes decocked

ohh...and then requires u to manually recock it? So then could it be that my hopper isnt feeding fast enough? I didn't think that could be the problem.

i would say that it is probably your hopper. i dont have experience with the tripod but i have used a friends revvy on my mr2 and i had to recock the bolt 5 or 6 times before emptying the hopper

the tripod is just a standard revolution with the X board...the only difference is u can change out the pods from either a standard 200 count pod, a 300 count pod or a 140 count pod

your probably outshooting your hopper in that case

if you want to go on the more expensive side you could get an empire reloader b. i can say that you would never have probs with the hopper or be able to outshoot it

yea I will be looking into the reloader B. I will be playing with it this weekend up in maine and will be using the revvy...hopefully that doesnt give me to many problems. I guess i just wont shoot as fast and will only use semi

I use a revy w/ x board and it works fine for me. One time the lid on my hopper fell off so i had to hold that on and I set it to auto because I had almost no chance, I think it feeds well enough, it didn't chop at all but I had to recock it once while spraying my full hopper.

see thats the only problem i have is the recocking issue...

Check your barrel too. If it isnt seated correctly it will chop paint. On the J&J barrels you have to make sure the o-ring is on the back of the barrel or it does the same.

Just a thought.

We know that, he's just saying people will respond to your question more if you start a new thread about a question instead of asking it in a thread that is a completely different subject.
