I wonder if there is enough light coming out the bottom that it will light up the inside of my barrel at night. That could be a bad and really cool looking thing. Does anyone in here have this?

I've never seen glow-in-the-dark paint before. It'd be pretty cool to mix them in with regular paint, using them at night like tracer rounds.

I have....but only for my night games with some friends at the cabin. It actually is kinda fun playing at night....plus in MN during certian times of the year it is dark @ 5pm....so playing at night is not a choice.

I remember a guy on Impulse Owners Group made one of these for scenario games a couple years ago. He made a whole thread on how to make it with pics and all. Looks like someone took the idea and ran with it finally -

You guys realize that's been out at least 2 years, right? Mainly aimed at scenario players who ball at night in the woods. Glow in the dark paint is easy to find, and it's not awful expensive.

Ya Durrell, we knew it but didn't mention it lol - :smirk:

I had some I picked up at Gander Mt. and I tried to get it fired up by shining a Innova tac led-flashlight (almost 100 lumens so it should have been bright enough) in the hopper, but it wasn't that brightly glowing when I shot. Maybe it was junk paint, I dunno.

I played a night game with those glow in the dark things a couple years ago. Paint was as hard as a marble and not all that bright. Could have been the lighting though, because we didn't give them enough time to be fully "lit."

So I did not see this in the description but I am guessing that they are using UV LEDs to light up the paint. I have also been told that there is a "neck" that has UV LEDs in it so you can get the same effect from "ANY" hopper you like. Has anyone seen that?

It actually makes your paint more accurate. [/Jumping Bean thread 2 :dodgy:]

its because the light emitted from the ball bounces back and cuases the flight control chip in the hopper to ionize air in different directions around the ball and slightly alter its path to hit your target

When did glow-in-the-dark paint come out? I havent seen it a wall mart.

vikingshadow
08-08-2006, 08:49 AM
You won't see it at Wal-Mart because it's too expensive and not practical since no one plays in the dark that much. If you read the beginning of this thread, you'll see that this came out about 2 years or so ago...
