its under the feedneck, unscrew it off and look near the bolts theres a round part that doesnt use screws ...urs might be yellow...but if its newer it might be black...its basically a round spot near the screw holes after u take off the feedneck.

hoped that didnt confuse u more :D

What would be the best one to get for it?

The timmy detents.. there amongst the hardest and therefore don't get shreded by the bolt.

They also have a spring kit that you'll need to get to reduce the velocity of your marker, unless you've cut the spring yourself.

Here's a series of pictures on the whereabouts of the infamous detent, I was lucky and got the black one so I'm not worrying about it, but to others, or whoever can't find it, here's how:

First off, lay the MR1 on a surface, preferably a towel, something of the sort, I personally like to use a white towel as it allows me to clearly identify screws and find pieces I may have dropped (Black on white, you know..) make sure it's in a position where the serial number is FACING YOU.

Next, simply cock the marker in order the clear the way down the feed neck. You might want to put the safety on to make sure the trigger doesn't go off. (Not that it would)

Remove the feed neck using the smaller allen wrench that came with the marker when you bought it. (The black one, in my case anyways)

Notice the back of the detent on the right bottom side of where the feed neck should be.

Next up, a simpler way of removing it, since the marker is cocked, the chamber is cleared, so put your finger in and simply push out the detent, reducing the risk of possible damage by playing around with it with your nails, although I doubt it could be damaged that way.

And well, now it's up to you, change it, observe it, do whatever you want, but make sure you have a detent in there before your next game!

A reminder to all who have received a black detent, you don't need to change it right away, you may want to get a spring kit first, or simply buy it all at once. But you should have an extra detent in your spare parts.

No problem, I hope the picutures help :)

do have those pics in pop-ups?

08-03-2006, 04:00 PM
It's a clickable URL in a thumbnail, so basically its a pop-up with the pic in much higher resolution on the pop-up, if that's what your asking for.

There are no pop-ups on the site where they're hosted though.

so should we take out the detent

08-04-2006, 10:17 AM
No, you must not remove the detent, it`ll just feed balls like mad and you`ll be chopping more then they do in a sushi parlour..

The procedure is there to verify that the detent is intact and has not been shreded by the bolt, and also explains how to replace it if needed. It`s also a good thing to verify if you find yourself chopping.

roger that..i took my bolt out last night and olied it and noticed that there is a groove for the detent..

08-04-2006, 10:39 AM
Yupp, sometimes when the bolt is a little loose though im sure it`s gonna get to the detent, although the groove is quite big.. if you just look down the front of the gun where the barrel is you probably could notice the detent.

truw..so thanks guys for the input..when it come to the guts on these things..i just strip them down to clean and oil them

Go for the timmy detents listed earlier, thier the best for the mr1, IMO.
Dont have much more input here.
