Thank you everyone for your comments.

FBM is Fireball Mountain, they are known for their anno. However I probably would never use them again. I waited over a month for this and they still have parts from my Ego. They are also way more expensive than other anodizers. It was worth the wait now that I have it togeather and see how hot it is.

sooooo hows it shoot???

shunut
07-29-2006, 12:03 AM
Haven't shot it since before I sent it to anno, and that was only dry firing. It was very fast dry firing though. I just got it back today and posted those pictures only a couple hours after I got it back. I plan on going to the field next week, as soon as my ego gets back, to play for the first time in about 8-9 months. Hopefully I can have some video's and more details then.

Thanks for the responses.

I'd put money on him doing the milling with a Dremel. I never asked though.

he must have a really really steady hand then. i been trying the dremill and after the initial cuts it looks like crap. i got a lot of cleaning up edges to do.

Files are awesome. It's what is mostly going to be used doing my GZ (if I keep it)!

I went to the proshop today to get my tank filled so I could tune the gun before I go next weekend. They had bags of seconds for $4 so I grabbed one, hopefully I'll have a video up in the next couple days. Also, FBM emailed me today and said my Ego parts are on their way and I'd have them this coming week, so I should have pics of that up soon too as well as another video.

It still works for practice... Doesnt mean you have to use it in a game. You can use the seconds for target practice.

just in case anybody else was curious about what files to use for this kinda stuff, the above link goes to a tutorial on files and rasps on home depots website. it helped me out anyway, but basically it tells what types and coursenesses to use for what.

I understand that it can take some time, but I was told my gun was finished and would be shipped after 3 weeks. Then they said again my gun was finished and would ship after 4 weeks. Then finally after about 5 weeks they told me that they were working on it and would be out by the next day and it was. I wouldn't have minded the wait if I wasn't lied to. I was also ignored much of the time. There were many emails that I sent and many phone calls that I made that received no response what so ever. That is just bad business in my mind. On top of that they did parts on my Ego and the frame does not match. I told them that and they said it was my fault and didn't offer any sympathy. I didn't do the anno, so I don't see how it could be my fault. So bottom line, I would never use FBM again and wouldn't recommend it to anybody.

bamf-hacker
08-04-2006, 06:37 AM
I was thinking about getting an FBM frame and after all of Shunut's issues, not a chance of that.

Customer service is number 1 in my book and if they don't bend over back wards for you then I wont give them my money.

But on a brighter note your Spimmy does look bad ass!!!

Hey Shunut, Do I need Timmy parts to make the Spimmy :D

SharpObjects
08-06-2006, 04:44 PM
Holy crap, that's the cleanest Spimmy I've ever seen.

If I wanted to make a Spimmy, where would I get a trigger frame and electronics? I have a hard time finding that sorta stuff.

shunut
08-06-2006, 05:03 PM
I found most of the stuff I used to build it on PBN.
