Bottomline on a M-16 gripframe

How am I supposed to mount my bottomline on a M-16 gripframe?
The grip looks like this:

I have two standard bottomlines from the Victor.

I bought three new (second hand) spyders the other day.
Cost me 60$ and I got some pieces and scraps in the box.
In the box there where 3 different kinds of M-16 grips but none that was able to hold a bottomline.

I managed to build one complete, working spyder with all but as I said; no bottomline.

Please help!

I'd shape a block of aluminum about 3-4" long that'll slide in the void at the bottom then use countersunk screws(2-4 of them) in the front, back sides to hold it in. This would involve drilling and tapping the screw holes. The more snug the fit the more solid the hold will be. Then drill and tap the bottom of the block for the ASA -

Maybe not but my tool shed isn't that well filled.
I was hoping for something more simple.
I'm not afraid of using my tools or my money though money is a bit short in supply right now. (Moving to house in august.)

Naah, I was kind of hoping there was a easy solution like buying parts somewhere.
I found a white kind of plastic that used to be in the frame but it was broken and not complete.
I figured there must be something like that I could buy?

Guess I have to buy new frames... :o

that's awesome. Perhaps you could measure the insert and give the lad the specs?
