I keep hearing some people that tried the 06 Electra with eyes and expirence chopping even with the eyes on. Mine works fine and I've yet to chop. But I was wondering if any other 06 owners have this problem, or if it's just some isolated lemons?

Ive shot probably 1000 rounds through mine, and have chopped 2 balls with the eyes on, but it was with the heavy bolt spring from the 32 Degree spring kit. It took my marker up to around 320fps, and firing fast at that speed just was too much for it. Ive had no issues with the stock or lighter springs in.

I've put 4,000+ rounds through mine and I have not chopped one ball with the eyes on. I did chop one on full auto though... Would be nice if the eyes worked on full auto too.

depends on what kind of loader you are using and color of paint etc...

Thanks everyone. I'm using an egg. I sometime use wally world paint when I'm fooling around shooting outside, when I play for real, I usually use pro-grade paint, but I have yet to go out and play for real.

Also, if you are shooting to hot. Umm.. If you break balls, you can turn down your velocity. :D

I haven't used a chrono yet. I chopped today, only because I was using a gravity feed hopper, and I think the eyes where off. I'm waiting for my egg to come in the mail, so I have yet to just rip.

Also, in the manual, it says to turn the screw on the bottom of the reg counter-clockwise to lower the pressure. I screw in the CO2 and I only get to 700psi, I'm trying to get 500psi. What am I doing wrong?

Well you have to shoot as you lower the pressure, or else nothing will happen, I'd screw it out and then screw it back in to the right pressure.

Ah, I see. Thanks. I've been scratching my head at this all day.

Hmm I'm looking to buy this gun...how would you compare it to the ion...my friends have it(ion) and never chopped a ball...but im hearing that the spyder is?? That's kinda scaring me and I love spyders...How can we make this gun just as reliable as the ION??

also right out of the box you can lower the psi to 300 and have no problems at all??? that sounds really good to me. :D

Well, I had two bolt chops. 1. Due to the fact my eyes where off (user error) and I was using a gravity feed, and 2. because My trigger was too sensitive, so it bounced like crazy, out-shooting my stock eggy. Thats all fixed now. And yes, the stock reg (at least mine) has gotten to 300psi without recocking problems, but I didn't chrono, so I could have been shooting slow.

I can very easily keep up with my friend's Ion.

My marker is stock. I think a few of my friends have blackheart boards.

Remember, it's not all about who can shoot faster. My buddy's with their Ions can only shoot about 12-14 bps without ramping. When I get the new SD VerC board, I'll be able to shoot much faster.

Uncapped ramping for scaring the crap out of them...;)
