I have an '05 electra and was wondering what a good price i could get for it on a refund, or consignment . it is approximatley 5 1/2 months old, and still in fairly good condition (small barrel scratch, missing cocking pin, and a small scratch in the plexiglass covering the electronics. Also what is a good replacement gun? Are cockers any good?

Thank you very much in advance. :)

but if u are looking to upgrade since u havent had ur gun long id get like an ion or like a angel maybe. all depends on how much u wanna spendd:)

You might be able to get $150 for it. But that may be pushing it. Scratched and missing parts on a resale Spyder. Those together not a great combo.

Take what you paid for it and all the upgrades times .60. That's the price you should start looking for, but expect to get less.

For example - if you paid 260.00 for it: 250.00(gun) + 75.00(upgrades) X .60 = 195.00. That's the STARTING price I would use. THEN, expect to go down some just because of the name (it seems to be the only product that the name itself reduces price - sucks, but that's the way it is.)

60% is about normal for paintball resale, UNLESS it's something new or really unique and different.

Hahaha - I just woke up when I typed that. There's a reason I don't teach math! Actually, I believe I didn't complete the formula (I thought it seemed weird....)

Ok, so 325.00 (gun and upgrades example) X .60 = 195.00. Then 325.00 - 195.00 = 130.00.

I think. Someone who's awake and not on a brain vacation help me out here!

The reason i am getting rid of it is because EVERY SINGLE TIME I use it, something goes wrong. and the scratches on the barrel were put there by the local proshop (which also has had the cocking pin on order for 2 1/2 months). Also, do you think that they might do a refund on it, and if so, how much?

Thanks again for your help :)

Hey man good luck to you on that one....

just don't be let down if you don't sell it for that.

Depends, not many places take back markers or paint. Keeps you from buying it and using as a "rental"

sorry to burst your bubble, but it'll never sell for that, i dont care what kind of spyder it is or how upgraded it is. unless your field is exclusively noobs who have never even looked around for the starting price of the gun.

That resale value is exactly why I'm keeping mine. I know there's no way I'll ever get my money out of a pilot I paid 170 for (now they're >120) and upgrades of 300. My daughter gets it when I get a new marker, then it goes to my son next, then my youngest. Hey, wait a minute, by then I'll be shooting a DM9 or hybrigucciasty shocker, or maybe a preda-intimidator... hmmmm

If something went wrong with your gun every time you used it... it could have either been a faulty gun or you dont know how to maintain it. How often do you lube and tear down the gun?
