View Full Version : problems with high velocity

I've read about the balls breaking in the neck and to back off the velocity, but mine is 290-310 with it backed off as far as possible.
any ideas???

Get a spring kit. Put a shorter/weaker spring in it. Also if it has a regulator on it turn it down to where it is shooting at 650 to 700 psi. Also get a harder shelled paintball I perfer Spank or Origin.

look in the other thread you posted in ;) i answered it there

Here's what i posted ...

get a springkit.... heavy valve .. light mainspring ... or med valve light mainspring ...

Just know that making the spring of the valve harder will make the valve open shorter thus less air going through so less velocity

And harder mainspring will make the valve open longer .. thus more velocity ...

I'm getting a spring kit also. I'm sure it will help in other applications also. Spring kits rock.

I think I have the same problem. I've turned down my velocity as far as I think I can and I'm still at about 300 fps. I'm not real familier with gun innards so was wondering if any spring kit will work or if it has to be MR2 specific?

any spring kit will work. I recommend the 32 degrees kit...
