View Full Version : Questions about the gun

So I ordered an E99 avant package last week from canadianpaintball.com. I guess they ran out of them cause I was sent a Fenix in its place. I got the Fenix w/o ACS, a Viewloader revolution w/ x-board installed, a mask, some paintballs, etc. Anyways, I have 2 questions. Do I need HPA to run this gun? Also should I get a new hopper or will the one mentioned above be good enough for this gun?
Thanks in advance.

Nope the revvy is good enough for now ...

Co2 will work fine, But I would recommend getting HPA.. It is much more consistent than co2 and the gun will shoot a lot better than with Co2..

and if you cant get HPA yet, you should at least use anti-siphon'd CO2. That will keep much of the liquid CO2 out of your internals.

Its a good gun. I have the same version you do. With the right upgrades the gun not only looks cool, but works great. HPA will make it run better though. Because of how heavy the gun is, I would suggest a carbon fiber HPA tank.

When you get sick of the revvy, upgrade to a Eggy. You really cant out do the Eggy with a Fenix, unless its fully upped.

Thanks guys, anyways this gun has an adjustable trigger pull right? Ive taken the trigger frame off the gun and right now im trying to figure out how to make the pull shorter. Ive found the screw that i need to adjust, my main problem right now is im not sure what im supposed to use to adjust the screw. The smallest allen wrench that came with the gun wont fit it, im really not sure what to try at this point. any suggestions?

I had to dig into my bike allen wrenches to adjust it lol.

Hmm. Now if only i had bike allen wrenches, id be set. Well ill worry about that later. My hopper stopped working for no apparent reason. I took it to a paintball shop and they couldnt tell me what was wrong with it, so we're assuming one of the boards has stopped working. Im hoping warranty will be able to save me on this one.

Allen wrenches come with all new Spyder's unless the place you got it from took them out of the box -

Well it came with allen wrenches, none of them fit the adjustment screw

Yea it could be me and nothing more. Still havent managed to change that trigger pull though.

Well, once you do get the correct allen wrench you would turn the adjuster that is at the top, thru a hole in the frame, clockwise when looking at the marker upside down (so you can see the hole better). :D

Turns out it was user error the entire time. I thought i had the right screw it turns out i didnt lol. thanks vwjimmy for showing me the right one. Now i was able to adjust that trigger pull.
