picked it up for 16.30 Euros in Italy. Self-winding, water resistant to 1000 ft./300 meters (supposedly), and the only Rolex i've ever wanted!

i have never seen anyone use those kinds of door knobs for homes
how much was that watch in USD??

Self winding means it winds itself off of the wrist movements during walking. AKA, the pendulum style swings (I forget what it's called, and I forget what the kind of watch is called).
Watch looks nice, but how can 1000 meters = 300 feet?:confused: :confused:
i think he means 3000 feet... roughly.

as for the feet and meters, i wrote em backwards. the caution tape i found in a lost and found box (i guess somebody thought it was a trash box)
