I have heard that the Pilot ACS has high pressure, and before i buy it i want to know what high pressure does to it. It may be a noobier question :D, but i wanted to know for sure.

It's just saying that the Pilot needs 800-850psi to operate at 275-300fps ...

If you go LP you can operate at +-250psi ... less kick .. better efficiency ... if your interested go do a search :)

so it starts at 800 psi?? which would give me around 275 fps? im really just tryin to make sure i will be able to play at the woods inside my local paintball area

ok i guess what im trying to say is when i buy the pilot acs, will the high pressure boost up the fps's (like 285+) to where its too high on the field i play at. 285+ is pushing what they allow

.... well when your playing with co2 ... i suggest chrono'ing it at 260-275fps ... since through the coarse of the day ... if it gets hot the velocity will go UP ... and possibly go over 300fps ...

Control this by getting a spring kit ...

Hard main and Soft Vave = Higher FPS
Soft Main and Hard Vave = Lower FPS

If with a Soft main and Hard Valve it still doesn't go around the 275fps range ... cut half a loop on the mainspring .. and test it again .. don't go too far though ... if it won't go down ... then get a reg

 Whats a hard main and soft vave, and whats chronoing :D

hes talkin about the spring springs and the differnet kinds

and chronoing is just seeing how fast ur gun is

most legit paintball fields have a chronograph where you shoot and it tells you how fast the ball is going (fps).

valve springs and main springs .... Ever taken your gun apart and done proper cleanings ?? ... look into the manual ... or your guns not gonna be functioning for much longer .....

To Chrono is to measure your FPS (Feet Per Seconds) ... field limits ususally go around 275 - 300.

mhm...well the thing is the gun doesn't "start" at a pressure, it depends what the tank is at to be a little more specific. also you dont need to buy a spring kit right away unless you go LP of course, you can change the fps with the knob on the back of the body.

Im thinking about getting an hp tank because it doesnt make the barrel as cold and when that happens the barrel shrinks (when using co2 shooting real fast) which makes the paint break... so im getting a hp tank
