qft, if you have problems with ie, its cuz its a pile, and takes longer than it should to load pages

Pages load almost instantly and I never problems with it. There's no need to waste my time getting Firefox when IE never has any problems.

Yeah but when IE loads faster than that, it's worth it. In my opinion, anyway.

I'm not so impatient that I can't wait one second and I must have the page load in a half second. I can't see any benefits of using Firefox over IE.

DownThemAll! is my most commonly used one. I have about 40-60 different plugins, so it's kinda hard to pick my favorite lmao.

As far as FF V.S. IE, it depends on what you use it for. IE is a great general program, whereas FF is completely customizable. I, obviously, have tricked out my FF as I want the newest and best stuff out there.

If you have ever tried developing web pages, you would never praise IE again. IE is a terrible excuse for a browser. It's complete lack of support for standards makes IE hell to design a webpage for. Virtually every other browser on the market can render a standards-compliant webpage correctly, except for... IE.

IE.Except I don't design web pages anymore, and when I did I had no troubles. 90% of the people who use Firefox is because OTHER people said its better. My friend has Firefox on his computer, and I've used it many times. I haven't seen one bit of difference between the two. Both take me to the same web pages, both do it fast. There's no reason for me to get rid of something that works, just to get something else that works.

We got rid of things that worked for things that worked a lot better. I have yet to see ANY real reason to get Firefox because IE works just as well as the Firefox I've used. I'm not a super geek that needs THE BEST because its .238923892 better than the previous best. The benefits my friends say they get from Firefox are insignificant to me, so I won't upgrade. I also don't base my choice on browser on someone's report that I have no idea who they are and how credible they are.

your use of "alot" is a overstatement, at the time between horses and cars, cars too had serious flaws. firefox IS faster, and it has been prven by credible sources. whether or not it is significant for you to click a button and let itinstall for 2 min is beside the point of this thread

BTW - I'm being stubborn, but I've had no reason to get rid of IE, so I continue to use it. I just like to have a good debate, although this one won't be any fun.

I've turned this from the Non-Paintball Topics forum, into the Non-Topic forum.
