i have decided i want a regulator

if I buy a reg, a new VA, macroline, npt to metric thread adapter, what else do I need or can I work on LP from that?

You don't need an expansion chamber, you already have one and you will replace it with the reg. The reason you will need a VA is because the pilot's stock unit doesn't have conventional threads where you would screw in a reg or expansion chamber. You don't need a new ASA(air source adapter) just a metric to npt thread adapter. If you look at the pic of my pilot, you'll see the parts I described.

yes. If you replace the asa with an aftermarket one it will be NPT threaded. HOWEVER...you will still need the Metric--->Imperial adapter because the hoses are still Metric...or replace the hose to Imperial threads or get macroline and fittings.

also does the Adapter Metric to NPT kinda look like a bolt?

No. It looks like a fitting...one male and one female end.

one more thing how do i get the gun to LP what is needed?

www.ottersccustoms.com (http://www.ottersccustoms.com) is your friend.

and for future reference...there's an "edit" button. I suggest you make the needed corrections to the original post...so you don't anger the antispam mods....

I bought different parts from a variety of places. See the store links thread at the bottom of the forum list:

You should find a lot of places with varying price ranges.

That VA will work fine....

is this a metric to npt thread adapter that will work?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7249127290&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

this one will work but not the blue one from actionvillage. That ones to put a standard-threaded line on spyder threaded hardware (reg/VA)

and please...try to put all your questions in a single post...there's an "edit" button on your posts near the bottom where your sig line is...use it. thanks.

No, it looks like the fenix oem unit. If you look you'll notice it has that T shaped part sticking out with an o-ring on it. Kingman put that style on the pilot and fenix. The stock expansion chambers attach there with set screws. You want a VA that has female threads so you can screw in a reg to it.
