Naughty Dogs Sign with Smart Parts

Smart Parts, Inc. is pleased to announce the signing of the Naughty Dogs professional paintball team to a new sponsorship deal. The two year contract begins with the 2006 season and runs through the 2007 World Cup with an option for a third season. The Naughty Dogs will shoot the Shocker and Freak Barrel System--both of which will be powered by the new Max-Flo Micro 4500 preset air system. A private label "Naughty Dogs" Shocker along with an ION Body Kit are in development for the 2006 season, both of which will be available through National Paintball Supply or the Naughty Dogs, Inc.

“It's a real pleasure to have so many top professional teams choosing Smart Parts for their guns, barrels and air systems--and the Naughty Dogs have certainly been among the top professional teams for the past several years now. They are an excellent 5-man team, which has lead to their continued success in the X-Ball format. We are thrilled to sponsor them and would like to wish the team continued success.”

--Adam Gardner, President, Smart Parts, Inc.

Did they drop any team's?

I'm curious how Smart part's can handle that many top name sponsorship's just from my marketing point of view! I can honestly see them going bankrupt or chapter 11 at least in the future!

yea all thiese new team nspired guns will boost sales to non teams and sales will boost. its a good marketing deal if u ask me. they supply a certain amount of guns to the teams. then they start selling the same guns for more money then it takes to make them. there making a killing on all these deals if u think about it. they arent going to go bankrupt anytime soon..Trust Me

Rookie to pro in a year? Never been done before... They've got MAD skill, but little experience... Which is why they got ROLLED at Chi-town last year... After Chi, a few of the players got pissed and left, but still... I heard there was supposed to be an Ultimate Shocker sometime, but I don't think that ever came out... Their homefield is where they hosted the CFOA Hot-lanta Classic last year... It's a great facility... But yeah... Ultimate is hurting as a team at the moment... And as for the going broke from sponsorships, the only reason for sponsorships is advertisement. I can almost guarantee you that SP spends more on magazine ads than it does on its sponsored teams... With the exception of Dynasty, who are getting salaries...

It work's that way... to an extent! I'm in the marketing field and I can tell you right now that a company that get's too big too quick and get's deep pocket's can come crashing down! Been there done that.

From a marketing point of view dishing out money for every single top team is quite stupid! Picking up some team's is smart but not the top four! It's a gamble if you start dishing out your deep pocket's it will bite you in there rear!

This is coming from somebody that has already had experience with a company that did the exact same thing but in a different field! One year record sales with a huge payout in profit sharing the next year chapter 11 bankruptcy!

It's just not a good move especially since 2005 sales halted in the paintball industry. They didn't raise and they didn't lower but 2005 was the first year in year's that there wasn't a substantial increase in sales in the paintball industry which has a lot of companies worried!

Just my opinion though.

Now, the rumormill also has it that Avalanche may be moving to SP as well. No proof of it though, just rumors - and I'm not trying to spread them because there IS NO PROOF OF IT!!!

I think it's sort of good, and sort of bad, for SP. May boost sales for awhile, but when you have so many top dogs in the sport playing for the best dog house, someone is gonna get mad.

I see a lot of the old "hate SP" coming out on several different forums about this, but what I've seen is a company that isn't trying to promote the sport, but is out to make money by USING the sport, which is perfectly fine with me. Name another sport that doesn't use money to make money. Nike uses big name athletes and pays big money, same as Gatorade, Reabok, to name a few companies, and of course the teams are doing the same - look at the Chicago Bulls back in the day, the Chicago Bears, (not picking of Chicago, just the two that came to mind) and my own Yankees, the Florida Marlins, Arizona Diamondbacksamong others. If you want the best, and want to make money at the game, and can afford the best, then by all means, go get the best. That's my philosophy.

It's like choosing Kraft Mac n Cheese or the .33 a box Mac n Cheese. They don't taste the same, only people who can't afford the expensive say that!

Does this include naughty dogs xball teams as well? One of their X-ball players is local to me. Dusty Manderson.

yea but wut i said earlier is wut is going happen only with wut someone else said. it woiuld boost sales for a WHILE. not forever. and by the time all these teams are old a weary SP will(in the long run if they keep this up) be dead/bankrupt.
