i know we had one of these on the old forums, and i just thougth it was cool to see all the different blades everyone had.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y171/MatthewTheTheif/DSCN0300.jpg

first is my Knights Of Columbus Sword, given to me by my dad, who got it from his dad, who got it from his dad who was a colorguard.
(i made the display, any good?)

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y171/MatthewTheTheif/DSCN0301.jpg

second is my cheap-o Katana, it looks cool, but its for display only, the blade is really rickety and lazer etched with fake temper marks.
(again, is the display any good?)

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y171/MatthewTheTheif/DSCN0302.jpg

third is a cheap "gypsy dagger" it was my first knife, i thought it looked cool

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y171/MatthewTheTheif/DSCN0303.jpg

last are my 3 pocket-knives, left is a spring assisted swing out POS, right is a gift from my g-pa, and the middle is my pride and joy, genuine italian Stiletto switchblade (legal)

so what do you guys have?

swords are awesome ... but stiletto's and switchblades are my favorite ... Only problem with my stiletto is that it has a safety feature on it ... Switchblade's are pretty nice also ... (stiletto's are better though :p)

butterfly knives are a PITA ... you can't "safely" play with them, since they don't latch very well at the bottom ... i usually end up "trying" to juggle with them ... the butterfly knives come loose and throw my off ... tape would work .. but i'd rather just use another knife

throwing stars are awesome i'd havta say ...

The first one is a little big. Without a trim, it looks kind of plain since the sword is so skinny. I would try a thinner stand. But I like the stain and design.

The second one looks better, but the characters are iffy. BUT if you're not asian, and don't study asian calligraphy, that's okay. Haha.

I like them, wish I still had my collection.

Where did you find the Italian Stilleto? I've been wanting one for quite awhile - I'm just a little lazy to search the net because I thought they were illegal.

some nice ones are here: www.benchmade.com my friend collects knives too... the benchmades are my favorite.

Snody is the best knife designer there imo... Hecklet and Koch wanted him to design their knives for them.
here are the two snodys my friend has:

http://www.benchmade.com/products/product_detail.aspx?model=10536

and my personal fav... the juju

http://www.benchmade.com/products/product_detail.aspx?model=10530

oh.... benchmade also sells a practice butterfly knife somewhere, so you dont cut yourself.

actually, my friend found it at the beach and gave it to me, he used to collect knives, but his mom made him sell them all

and leed, yes, im a calligraphy n00b, and it was done with a soldering iron, nothing fancy...

i want to find someplace to get an ivy logo and paint it on around the 1st ones edge, but i just cant find the right one

i thought the asian charicters were just mumbo jumbo... does it actually (attempt to) say something and what do you think of the links i posted.

MatthewTheTheif
06-21-2006, 07:33 PM
no, it actually says stuff, its something from rurouni kenshin, :p

and the stuff on the bottom is supposed to be my name

i like the first knife you posted, but the second one looks kinda stupid in the fact that its not practical at all

I was actually searching the Internet today and found a "switchblade laws per state" thing....It's actually legal to own a switchblade here in Oklahoma, but not to carry it. Cool!

Found a LOT of switchblades/stilletos on the net....man, they're EXPENSIVE!
