i recently bought 45/45 from pbn and i have few questions.
1. the seller took off the top part (i think its called regulator) so i need to put it back together. should put some teflon tape or blue loctite on it or would i be ok without those things??

2. on the top part (regulator??) i see one empty spot next to gauge or next to fill nipple... is this normal for dye tanks?? i dont think my p.e tank has one empty spot on the regulator.

i would ask him but he doesnt reply back. help me out on this one guys, THANKS!!!!!!!!!

Well, I know nothing about Dye tanks, but it sounds like you got ripped.. There is never supposed to be a big hole in a Tanks Reg, unless it is missing a Part.. So it is missing something important, and the reason he isn't replying is because he knows you found out that something is missing and doesn't want to get caught scamming..

One question.. Why did you go from PMI to a Dye tank?? Crossfire is far superior to PMI or Dye, but PMI is much better than Dye.. W/e, I guess that is not important...

Take it to your proshop and have them re-assemble it.. If the tank is completely disassembled from the Reg, I recommend having a certified airsmith (can be found at proshop) put it back together.. He will figure out what exactly is missing and then you can buy what is missing and the tank will be fixed..

I am thinking its missing a burst disk, That is only the thing that keeps the tank from blowing up.. Glad its not important :dodgy:

All sarcasim aside... DO NOT fill that tank until you have an airsmith look over it.. Have him look over your friends also..

The "empty" hole is the burst disc. Dye ones are weird like that. For the reg, take it to the proshop and let them install it. IF you want to do it yourself, put it on with RED loctite. I'd have the proshop do it though.

I am guessing that if you are not sure what the empty hole is for, you should not even try to put the reg in yourself. Timmyshoota is correct, you need to use red Loctite, but it needs to be done right. The last thing you want is a 4500psi projectile.
