Well, I got a Smart Parts Progreesive barrel on actionvillage.com for only 30 bucks and its really light and accurate.. it also depends on what barrel size u want

oliver has a 20 inch barrel so dont listen to him its a really dumb choice if you want a long barrel 16 inch barrel should be the max.

personally, i like the spyder proto most

but before you purchase a barrrel,
match the paint that you use the most to the size of your barrel

the right paint/to/barrel match will give you a world of diffrence in accuracy and gas usage.
This match up could be just as, if not more important than upgrading the barrel

obviously oliver is a sniper then.20 inch barrel for a sniper is perfect not dumb, but 16's are really the top for people who aren't snipers

there are spipers in paintball :dodgy:
all a longer barrel does is waste more gas

I have both the J&J Cermaic and the Smart Parts Teardrop. The Teardrop can't compete with the J&J. J&J is much quieter and more accurate. But the Teardrop looks better. I sanded the J&J down to bare metal and polished the hell out of it and now my son wants it back. NOOOOO WAY! I'm thinking about the J&J S2 or the Redz Pepper Stick for my ION. I know I won't be disappointed with the J&J, but the Pepper is a 2 piece. Decisions, Decisions........

DITO!

But I'll correct the spelling. "Snipers";)

Anything over 16" is a waste, no matter what the guys with the tippmans tell you.

Go for j&j that is a really good one. And yes!! Anything over 16 inch. is really stupid. It makes it less acurate and take up more gas to get it through the barrel therefor lowering the velocity!! 16'' Max!!

Not to confuse things even more, but I just got the J&J S2 delivered for my ION. $3 more than the Ceramic, Looks much better, same great performance.
