Board problems :(

So... I've been using my brothers old mongoose board (21 bps cap) since he got his t-board, works fine, been using it for several months.

In any case, I decided I wanted to lighten my microswitch, and went to take it out to do the mod, after taking the board out of the gun, anyways, I decided I was to lazy to take the switch out, and went to reatach the board, but now I have no power getting to the board. I've tried two batteries aand even my old board, but it just doesn't seem to work... one more thing is that when I connect a standard 9volt for some reason it heats up the small capacitor on the board, both boards...

Any ideas?

yeah....it's shorting the battery out. look for a bare spot/wires touching the body or otherwise grounding out. The capacitor could have a broken lead also.

I'm an idiot...

I was connecting the noid wires to the battery header and the battery wires to the noid header...

me=noob

though I got unlazy and lightenend them microswitch, and probably I'm faster by at least 2 bps.
