My phantom vented a 12gram

Well as the title says, I was testing out my phantom, getin ahold of how it shoots now, boy is it awesome, anyways, went through the first 12gram, and stuck in a second, but it vented out the barrel...

Before I waste more 12grams (they're not free... and I only have like 8) I'm asking if somone knows what I did wrong?

Did you cock the marker before putting the 12g on? Most common problem in my experience with them...

You can't really cock it before you put the 12 gram in, it doesn't stay cocked..? Maybe the pump was back to far for some reason?

The pump was probably back to far or you didn't do a clearing shot when you let the first one out.
