long time coming but its finally over..

well its been a little over a year since it happened, but starting monday the trial started. my dad plead guilty to the charges against him so we only had to testify to for the sentencing. we got done testifying yesterday afternoon and it took the jury a day and a half to come up with a punishment.

it ended up being. 13yrs for agrivated assault on a family member with a deadly weapon. "charges filed for my mom"

and 7 yrs for agrivated assault on the elderly with a deadly weapon. "charges filed for my grandma"

but the sentences were concurent not back to back. so he only has to serve 12 years because they deducted the year he spent in jail for breaking his bail bond and the restraining order for contacting me. so he is eligable for parol in 6 yrs.
its been a long time but im glad its all over.
