View Full Version : Shroud can be removed

i just took the shroud off my gun to put my Smart parts progressive rifled barrel on. pics to come as soon as i can get my camera working IMO looks a little bit better with the shroud off

Yeah, I want to see the pics. I just installed my 14" J&J, but I would like to be able to try different barrels in the future.

I can't picture it though without the shroud. To me I think it would look like somethings missing, but I guess we'll see.

yeah, if you take the shroud off the part of the foregrip sticks out akwardly, also the front inch or so of the resevoir adapter plug sticks out. i think the whole shroud idea was thought out bad...

it acctually doesn't look half bad i just think the shroud added a bunch of unnesessary wieght. about 3 ounces.

I just took the shroud off of mine to see what it would look like. I guess it really isn't too bad, but the shroud idea definitely wasn't though out very well like it was said b4. Like 2 barrels fit that are kind of cheaply priced. The J&J Ceramic and the Smart Parts Tactical are the lower priced ones. Does anyone know which one of these is the right one? they are different.

the marker is lighter without the shroud and the side panels,

and i do agree the shroud wasn't very thought out of. they've fixed that with the rsx i wounder if they have a surprise for the mr series besides a mr2 with an eye
