well try to come up with a sport that doesnt involve some kind of ball, and you have your answer.

Would tonsil hockey....wait, I guess eventually it would!

Curling - oh wait. Is that a sport?

Interesting question, why would a guy spend hours chasing other guys with balls holding balls?

Hahaha! I actually know what Caber tossing is...and if you do it incorrectly, I think there might be a ball or two involved...(Saw it on Tim the Tool Man Taylor's Tool Time....)

LOL ahaha what a looney thread LOL.....

I dunno maybe us men just take pride in our balls so much that we decided to make up various sports involoving balls....

anything you say is a mans sport regardless if they use balls or not is going to be argued just because of certain anatomical nuances... For example, Nascar racing, considered a sport, but it's mainly male drivers so it centers on balls... Nevermind I forget where I was goin with this...

or maybe its the natural aerodynamics of a sphere.....nah, it's definitely a masculinity thing

the cavemen probly figured out that throwing something round was more accurate than a goofy shaped object, like playing soccer with a cocunut is better than awedge shaped thing like a banana, (getting hungry here) -just think of how a misshaped paintball behaves in flight

a sphere isnt really that aerodynamic.

Historians believe that the first sport to be played was in eastern Africa some time around 5000 BC. This sport ivolved a brutal fight in which the object was to remove the head of the opposing team's sheep and return it to the team leader. The winners were often made the rulers of the land in dispute, and the head was kept as a trophy. Often the removal of the sheep head would attract attention from the opposing team, causing a stuggle or race to ensue. Often times this struggle would take place over a small plot of land between the two opposing teams. If the person with the sheep head were to cross into friendly territory they would be able to continue on without resitance because of the opposing team's fear of being slaughtered. Young kids would often watch these small fueds from hilltops and cheer on the side they wished to win. When these kids returned to their villages they would emulate these conflicts by making a sheep head of their own out of dirt or clay and begin fighting in various ways over it. Sometimes the ball was heavy and sometimes it was light, leading to different variations of how it was played. This is how the ball came to be part of a sporting event.

:dodgy: i wont even say anything....

a sphere isnt really that aerodynamic. its the most verstile aerodynamic, meaning that all "sides" or angles of the sphere you can find are equally aerodynamic, making it more reliable than something lobsided that cant be kicked, thrown etc in any way. (like a football, it really cant be thrown just as well from the wide side as it can from the way it was meant) a sphere has a basic shape that should(because of errors in its formation, it WONT) fly the same/roll the same. a ball makes things simpler to learn than say an egg. and a puck is the same way, it has a rounded side and when hit is always flat, so from all 360* it is the same target, therefore players generally dont worry about hitting it on some deformed side and sending it off on a tangent. ball = simplicity, no one wants something too difficult in a time that should be fun.

what he means is that its not the best aero dynamic shap. like a sports car is all areodynamic and atuff. thus creating less drag. some of these cars go 250 mph, now occording to u a saphere us aerodynamic. when i se a saphere going down the road at 250mph ill give you a pat on the back.

PS: has any1 seen that car (i think it a nissan) that has the whole undercarrage lined with a golfball like surface. apparently it makes it more aerodynamic

somehow i linked into the church of satan from exploding whales via wiki...:dodgy:

(i think it was exploding whale>leviathan(hebrew for whale, also a number of satanism> church of satan) and it was wierd.... you learn something new every day. my school has been banned maybe 30 times for "vandalism" of wikipedia. mainly bored seniors, but they mass edit things so its very easy to stumble upon one. i think one had the history of canada having elton john take the country hostage with photoshopped pictures. basically wikis rox.
