Woodsball is hard...

So I was getting burnt out on all my local field's I figured I would take up an offer with one of my buddies to go play some woodsball. I haven't played woodsball in probably close to a year and a half. So I broke out my camo and "renegade" knee/chin gaurd's and headed to the land we were to play on. Needless to say I got my but handed to me in the three games I played in. First game I did well but got ancy and pushed ahead and got caught in crossfire. Second game I took off and ran and ran and ran until I was completely behind/parallel with the opposing team's back player's but I forget to turn my revi on which screwed up my timing. Third game I had a leak on my macro fitting and ran out of air but stayed in and kept two guy's trying to flank occupied forever while my team tries to run the flag.

All in all it was fun and a change of pace. The guy's were cool to play with even with just meeting most that day and I told them I would definitely come back if they played again.

And yes I did play with my sniper 2 (pump) all day which is what I use in speedball also. I guess I was so used to snapshooting over rollies to guy's ten feet away from me that I wasn't ready to longball people even though I did run my arse off to get positioning. Still a fun day though.

Oh yeah the guy that invited me is my xppl pump league teammate who is also captain/coach/manager of Semi-pro nppl team NTK so that show's you that not all tourney baller's are as bad as there laid out to be. He's a great guy and love's to break out a pump since he's been playing since 1983.

yeah i love woodsball. i remember once game at skrmish that we were attacking the castle. every one was at a stalemate. no attackers could get close no defenders could hit the bunkered attakers. but i pushed hard up the flank and got a lucky shot taking out a guy watching the left side of the castle. ran up adn got in a side door. must have taken out about 15 guys with 9 shots. i was tapping people on the sholder telling them they were out. they had no idea i was in there. but i have so many great war stories. and i've only gone out to a field once

Ahh the intangibels of woods ball.... Ive played it recently and it showed me that i hadnt lost all of my skills at it =).... I i like it as a break for the speedball that i love so much but thats all... i dont think that i will ever want to go back to it for good unless i get hurt and cant play speedball....

we are woodsball all the way...but some of the guys from work want to go balling, so i may get my first dose of airball soon...i love woods tho, especially outlaw ball around old farm equipment.

Nothing wrong with mixing up your normal style sof play, I have always played both anyway.
