im in the market for a new and first LCD monitor, cause with all of the photoshop i do, this CRT kills my eyes. guidelines are:
1.) 19"
2.) 1280*1024 RES,
3.) Black Case or A Dark Color
4.) Under 250 Shipped to 48317.
im currently looking @ This One (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16824116363) cause its from newegg, and ive heard viewsonic mades good crt's so hoping that their lcd's follow the same quality. id really like to get a Dell UltraSharp 1907FP, but its just too expensive.
the monitor i have now is an AWESOME Sony Trinitron 16" diagonal screen size. no, it wont be for sale.

My screen is 19" widescreen... 1920x1200... But it's ever-so-slightly bolted to my computer
Other than that? Newegg FTW... They've never done me wrong...

picked up a 19 Samsung 2ms, the higher 8-12 ms are about half the price here in canada, mine works good for gaming. Also has DVI cable included with monitor, so plugs right into graphic card, and it is black :D

If you can go a little higher I would get this:

I got that same monitor 12 months ago for about $650. By far the best monitor I have ever used, very clear and sharp.

its the radiation i think, like after a while my eyes get all irritated and ****, it never happens when i use the lcd's @ school, so that made my decision right there

It's the refreshing that causes eye fatigue... It's redrawing pixels 60 times a second, so it's almost like a strobe effect... Wave your hand around in front of the monitor and you'll see what I mean... Your hand'll look funky... LCD's don't refresh... The pixels are always on... Until, of course, they change... 0.o

i called mom when i got home from school today to see if she could go to the bank and get the money for the monitor, so i can order it tonight, and she said, that shes been thinking bout it, and was wondering what i thought of her buying me the monitor as my grad gift!!!! YESS!!!! but..... if i dont pass (in a real ****ty situation) she is going to take the money that it cost out of my account :( . no biggy i know i am going to pass, and with the gifts i know of already, it only adds to the motivation. i ende dup getting this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824116375) moniter for 304.99 shipped
