View Full Version : could...?

ok. so one of my buddies called me up and wanted to know if we could make a woodsball team(because speedball just isn't enough planning and thought) and i realized that my imagine really doesn't have a home for woodsball. sure i can rock people if they move from bunker to bunker i can toss 13bps at em. but. i was looking through ebay. i was thinking about getting a tippmann. but im not really a tippmann fan, sure they are very reliable and good guns. but im just not a big fan. so i remembered the mr1/2 that came out. i could buy an mr1 with all the stuff plus it would come with pods a pouch and remote coil. would it be possible to put my trigger frame from my imagine onto the mr1? because the mr2 is electric but it also has a much higher price tag.:( i don't think i would buy it. BUT if i could put my frame onto the mr1 i could keep the speed i had before on it:D

Yep, you could put you imagine frame on the MR1, I think several people here have already.
The MR1 is basically the same as an imagine, just different body and stuff naturallyt it'll take whatever you've got on your imagine so far.
But, unless your buying it solely for the milsim look and the stock, I'd stick with just your imagine, I only play woodsball with my imagine, and I own up ther tippy users :P

I'm a little confused...you want to stay away from your imagine with ESP frame...but get a mech Mr series...and then ESP frame it? I don't get it...you aren't gaining anything except a different looking marker. If it's concealment you desire, go here (www.camoclad.com) and just cover the marker.

well, i would just need a better scenerio gun. could i make my imagine a kicka55 scenerio gun? because pretty much what i am seeing is almost everyone uses a-5's. but. i am a big fan of kingman and their probducts. and ive read a lot of good things about the mr series. would i be better off just getting a remote or something and converting my imagine into a scenerio-ready a55kicking machine?

Spyders can be some of the most formidable scenario markers around...here are some links to sites w/ products...
that should spark your imagine-ation :D

k that looks pretty good. but would the cushman's thing fit on a new imagine. in the pictures it looks like it is an old one. and the qloader how fast does it feed? and could I adapt it to hold more balls without paying that much money?
04-22-2006, 12:34 PM
QLoader is limited to 100 balls per pod. There's nothing bigger. Any bigger QPod and they would be heavy and unweildy...I suggest getting a 500 system.
It will dump all 100 balls in just under 1 second in a drop test...that's the fastest dump test there is. Actual feed? Idk but it will feed that 34/36 bps Borg (dont' remember the speed) you saw on Nation a while back - without chopping. On their website, thee are videos. Watch them.
On the Imagine, I truly believe the only real difference is the milling on the body...dimensions (within the Kingman tolerences) should be roughly the same.

imagines are rec guns, mid grade designed for fun
04-23-2006, 09:07 AM
that's what i was thinking but then druid showed me all the stuff i could buy to make the imagine better than the tippy.
04-23-2006, 12:56 PM
Hey, who says an imagine isn't better from the start?
My imagine pwns my friends tippies. You don't need much more than accuracy and stealth in woodsball, for your gun that is.

alright i think im starting to get it now. so. if i just get some range and make it a wee quieter i can be better than all them n00bs:D
04-23-2006, 09:07 PM
It won't make it quieter or give better range. In fact every single gun shoots the same distance at the same FPS as another gun. So an angel at 285 FPS with shoot the same distance as a spyder at 285 FPS.
Only exception is things like the flatline, and the apex barrel which alter the spin of the ball to get flatter trajectory.
You COULD buy an apex if you want, give you the same ability as the flatlined A-5 people plus some.

personally, apexes disgust me. just get a j&j.
04-24-2006, 02:36 PM
Have you used one before?

guns don't make good players, skill does.
04-26-2006, 05:43 PM
Thats true. But a gun is a tool, and a skilled craftsman needs special things to do his work correctly.
I'm about to buy a phantom, so I'll soon I'll find out how good I really am... :)

i did my first "scenerio" play with my imagine. it was a big game at sudden impact in Illinois. i was very suprised at how well my imagine performed. we were playing with some hardcore people. and when the time came for close quarters combat i could always throw more paint at any exposed portions of their person. even though i don't even have a new barrel yet.(i ordered a J&J ceramic when i got home that same day) i was using a stock barrel from a spyder tlr. it was better than the stock imagine barrel and my friend boght a new barrel so he said i could have it. anyway. it was one of the most fun games i have ever play maybe the most fun ever. (yet) it was three teams of like 20+ people(it was raining so not many people showed up who were going to) i was with a squad of people with tippmanns. and it seemed like they would be able to take anyone we came to but i ended up haveing to get them out of being pinned down by one guy. it was fun.
p.s. there was a raffle. and i won an action figure. yeah. its that awsome. it was a sasquatch[because like a month ago someone supposedly saw bigfoot in the area around the paintball field(i think it was just a guy in a ghilli suit)]

Glad to hear your imagine performed well, nothing beats a fun game of paintball, and it sounds like you had fun :).

oh i did. i would have had more if it wasn't raining. that made me a little angry. cause my legs would get wet then i'd get shot in the leg. or get whipped by a bush. but it was still fun.
p.s. my j&j ceramic came in today :D i had like 20 balls left from last weekend and i was shocked at how much better it is than the barrel i had used before.
