i have a 20-25 pound co2 tank that i use for kegging. but its full of co2 and i was thinking that would be great for paintball. i know it doesn't have a siphon so could i have the tank on its side untill i can get it emptied to put a siphon in it? And has anyone ever made there own fill station? is it cheaper to just buy the 32 degrees one?

yes you could but it's not a good idea. It'll freeze up the valve fast and you might not get it closed right...that could be a real problem...and you'll need a CO2 scale for your bottles.

I'd suggest that you empty the tank, get a siphon tube installed and have it refilled.

It may just be cheaper to rent a co2 bulk tank from like a welding supply shop. I've got a 75lb bulk tank with a syphon tube. It costs me $7 per month to rent and about $22 to fill.
