anyone else have this problem?!?

my mom bought an MP3 player for $3 on ebay. when it got here, it came from China and was entirely made out of plastic. its been working ok, but all of a sudden, every time i go to transfer music on to my hard drive or play it through some kind of media player (i have 7 of em, dont ask why...) it gives me a read error. when i turn the mp3 player back on, the songs work fine...my guess is that its just shoddy, flea-market type craftsmanship of the mp3 player, i mean, come on, its made in China and out of plastic (not to mention the price)!

edit: i use a 256MB SD memory card, which worked just fine in my old MP3 player and used to in this one too

I've never had this problem because I'd never get myself into such a situation...it violates one of my personal life rules:

Rule #83: Never spend less on an MP3 player then I do for my morning coffee.
