Hello there!

I'm Jim Bird, Owner of X-Customs. X-Customs was originally founded in 2002 as a resource for articles, services, and small Spyder performance accessories. Due to unforeseen and unexpected circumstances, X-Customs was forced inactive in Late 2004 and has been dormant until now. Back with new innovative ideas, concepts, and revolutionary designs, X-Customs is ready to bring new improved performance to the Spyder community. Some of the prized past achievements of X-Customs have included:
*Developing one of the very first Anti-Chop Eye systems for Spyders
*Developing and initializing the very first Hall Effect Sensor application in Spyders (floating trigger concept)
*Completing and documenting a comprehensive comparison of competing Spyder bolts
*Helping spark the magnetic boom in Spyders with its Reaper trigger design
*Offering private upgrade consulting as well as hands-on upgrading
*Offering the very first groupbuy for the first Kingman IPI frames and ESPRIT bodies.

This company policy emphasizes innovation, quality, performance, and above all else, service to the consumer. X-Customs highly values its customers above all else and frequently has taken losses just to help improve the industry. With every new product developed here at X-Customs, innovation is the key objective. Never will you find a slack or low-effort product from X-Customs. Expect to be amazed!

To jumpstart the return of X-Customs, I have brought back the X-Customs 50g Trigger Switch Assembly (50g SwiX for short). Featuring all the great aspects of the competitive switches, this switch also incorporates presoldered and crimped wires. No switch assembly required. This switch is plug-and-play. The 50g SwiX significantly reduces trigger pull weight and allows trigger pull lengths at the activation point as low as 0.5mm (~0.020in). Being one of the cheapest and most effective performance upgrades to an electronic Spyder, X-Customs is proud to reintroduce the 50g SwiX.

Additional larger projects and products are in the developing and prototyping phases right now. More information on these sooner and later.

Check it out at http://www.x-customs.com. If you have any comments, questions, suggestions, or requests, feel free to contact me via PM or email (check website).

Jim Bird
Owner of X-Customs

Edit (06/08/2006):

I've recently overhauled the website. It is very similar to the old site but far improved. Please take a look around and tell me what you think. Enjoy!

If you ever need somebody to test out some products, I'd be glad to help out. Sounds like your business is going to put out some awesome products.

"Master List of stores+feedback".....found in this thread......

Thank you all for the encouraging words. While a plug-and-play 50g switch may not sound like a very exciting starting product, it is only a revenue builder for other projects that should prove to be very exciting. Some of which will hopefully be available early Summer 2006.

Druid, thank you for adding X-Customs to the feedback list. While I wish my feedback was still available on the "GOOD TRADERS LIST" from the old forums, X-Customs will have no trouble building a very positive foundation of feedback.

Sounds like you're off to a good start, and I hope to see your company rise up in the paintball world soon as it sounds like you have a couple interesting items you're working on. Best of luck!

Thank you all for the warm welcome back. Because of all this, I am lowering my price on the Presoldered 50g SwiX switches to $8.00 shipped. I really appreciate the feedback I have received as well as the respect associated with being an "oldschooler." I hope my strong knowledge of the paintball industry will benifit you as well as my new and exciting products that are on their way.

Looking forward to seeing what you've got planned. On the 50g switch, all you have to do is take out the microswitch connector, take out the wires and move the connector to the new microswitch and put those wires in place, and put it back in, right?

A good idea i'd say is to go on pbreview.com and add your products to their product reviews lists. In the spyder accessories section, there are only 2 other microswitches up there and only 1 other completely pre-soldered and crimped one and its more than what you charge. Good Luck

Yes, just unplug the wires from the board, take out the stock switch, pop in the 50g switch, and plug in the wires attached. I wanted this switch to be as simple as possible to install.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will look into that this week!

:yeahthat: it truly was that simple! :applause: I really like the 50g swix and it works extremely well with the SPPS Snapdragon magno-trigger. Plus you can't beat the $8 shipped price tag.

Excellent product and very quick shipping. Would not hesitate to buy from again!

P.S. Add your product to pbreview.com and i'll be happy to put a good word in for ya! :D

emf7301: Thank you very much for the feedback! I have been trying to find some better pictures to use on PBR. I'll throw it up there now. :D

Edit: X-Customs is being verified with PBR. Once done, the SwiX can be added.

Site is much more user friendly and still looks great. Nice job!

You can add your swix to the product line on pbr now that they've added your company. :D

Added this morning.. just waiting on approval. :)

It's too bad they don't allow manufacturer reviews.

It's been a while since I've posted an update.

The X-Customs SwiX is a hit and getting great reviews at PBReview. Further progress in the product development of a few other products has been made, and I'm hoping to release information about each sometime soon. This morning a detailed installation guide for the X-Customs SwiX has been uploaded and is available for download (.doc and .pdf).

That's it for now. Hopefully I'll have something new and really exciting to tell you guys about soon! :D

:applause: Good to see you back in the buisness. I remember you from back in 2k2 when I first started on these boards. You were an awesome resource. Glad to see you are back in the spyder world.

Just a quick heads up if anyone here has emailed me this month. I have just moved for the summer, and I am still having trouble setting up internet and email. On top of that, the company notebook has been in for repair since early this month, so I am already behind on emails.

I apologize for any inconveniences with delayed responses and/or shipping. Once things settle down, everything should get back to normal.
