My Electra 09 recently started to act funny, I could hook air up to it and fire about 4 shots then it lost all pressure and wouldn't re cock and made a pssssssshhhhhhh (sorry for bad sound effects) noise. I would pull the bolt back and try to fire and the ball would just roll out the barrel. So i tried this a few more times, reading up on common problems. The striker o ring is in perfect condition as well as the rest of the bolt. So I took the regulator adjuster off of the regulator and out fell a mashed up piece of plastic as well as a metal washer in 3 pieces. I have no idea what these are or where they came from and was wondering if anybody else has any idea what they are or what I should do???

sounds like the regulator is shot, i'd call kingman, they may be able to fix/replace it

Look up the regulator part numbers on page 16 of this: http://www.spyder.tv/section/support/manuals/electra_eye_09.pdf

It will be faster if you have the information before you call Kingman.

Just get a new regulator, It will be more consistent anyway

You could also check to see if your O-rings are not riped first before getting the regulator replaced or buying new one. It is the least expensive thing to do and if you have warrenty you can send it out kingman for repair but you have to pay for the shipping to send it over to Kingman.

:yeahthat:

Buying a new one isn't always the best solution. In the end it's a Spyder: it doesn't need to have absolute consistency. I've actually been quite fond of the old bottomline regs Kingman used to have. They were consistent enough with proper maintenance and tuning, and fit the markers perfectly.
