Picked up a Sonix Pro. Need some help

So I found a Sonix Pro for $10 on craigslist. It was listed as broken. I thought what the hell and bought it off him. A kid and his dad show up. He shows me the gun. Dad said, "he took a hammer to the side of the gun and the trigger is messed up."

So I took it all apart. Fixed the trigger frame. The only thing left is fixing the body. To the right of the detent he took a couple good swings at it for who knows what reason. So now the bolt gets stuck in the chamber. I can see a little indent on the inside of the chamber. Anyone know of a good tool to shave off that indent or sand it down?


After I bought it from him the dad said he's buying his kid another gun... oh my.

Does is hold air? Before I went to the extent of fixing the "indent" I'd check that first.

Beyond that, is the upper tube sill round? If you get rid of the indent is the bolt still gonna be able to move or will it get stuck still?

As far as getting rid of the indent, I'd start with a file to do the bulk of the work, then switch to fine grit sand paper to get it smooth.

Sounds like he wasn't telling you the whole story! Angry management issues perhaps? Or was just playing his Dad for a new gun?

Not sure how to go about re-boring a paintball gun, but you could look into just getting a replacement body and swapping the parts in.

Yep the tubes still round. The rest of the gun looks to be in good condition. Everything fit together nicely and nothing else was damaged. If I can't get it working it would be a parts gun anyways. But i'll try out your idea Shunut. Thanks!

@Lawpass - Yeah it all seemed kind of odd. He wanted $35 for it originally and I lowballed him for $10 haha. Theres at least $20 in working parts on it so I think I got a pretty good deal!

So if I get this gun working I have spent $70 total on 3 guns(minus upgrades):

I gave up on it and found a Spyder Pilot ACS body on ebay. :o


It was too far down the chamber to mess with it.
