Hello all,

I recently got a VS3 as a backup marker. Its all stock. I played the other day and the damn thing doesnt shoot very straight at all. My paint seems to curve a lot. I have tried setting the FPS in ranges 250-300 but still doesnt seem to help much. I just order an adapter for cocker barrel so i can use my 2k STO barrel on it. Has anyone tried this on their spyder? Also what else can I do to make the VS3 shoot straighter?

Your problem sounds like paint and/or barrel. Stock barrels arent the best & a bigger bore so the ball bounces around the bore. The adapter & 2000 STO barrel wont help other than taking weight off you butt since paint back then was nice & big. What you need is a barrel kit to size or paint or just a smaller barrel.

Yeah I would get a new barrel. My Mr2 doesnt shoot very straight either so I'm getting a new barrel.

well i got the adapter and played the other week and it shot a heck of a lot better then with the stock barrel. It will have to do for now but as far as paint goes i usually get the cheapest paint because for one i am cheap;) and two i dont know how to determine what makes paint better than any other paint. What do you look at when buying paint?

crappy paint is often misshappen, or the shell can be very brittle or very hard and not breaking on your target.

generally you get what you pay for, but that doesnt necessarily mean you should go out and buy the most expensive paint they have

I can honestly say I buy 80% of my paint at Di cks ( a sports store ).For a new brand of paint I have not played with. I have brought a case of paint up to the register and opened in front of them, before buying it. A extra 5-10 bucks goes a long way. If you want the best though, you will have to order online or go to a paintball field to get it. A midgrade case will set you back 40-50 bucks a case, High end cases are 60-90 or more. Just dont buy monster balls and you will be ok.

they have diablo heat at my local paintball shop and it's $40 for a case but total garbage. i had 500 balls of 1 and 1/2 year old visible impact from walmart and it was better than it. if you dont know where to start just get the stuff right in the middle from the cheapest to the most expensive, it often takes using different types to find what works best for you.

Good paint, sized to your barrel should solve that issue.

I seen the I Fit barrel adapter kits that come with 6 or 9 different sizes or you could order a deadly wind barrel they use freak inserts. I hear thats a good combo. I use either all stars or marbalizers paint in my gun. the new marbalizers is better than what they use to make and the all stars works good for me too.
V1 is pretty good mid grade 45 a case online.
