Hey guys I have heard rumors of an mr4. I love my mr2 but I am noticing that they seem to drying up at the stores. Is the mr4 a reality?

That's probably as close as you're going to get for a while. It is NOT .68 cal, however, it is .50 cal.

the 2010 catalog shows it. the stormer and the mr4 are going to be of the same design i believe.

Beside the shoulder stock, foregrip & trigger frame grips they both look similar. Since both have a mechanical grip, I'd expect an electro version soon after the others are available. Just an uneducated guess.

I personally think the stormer looks crappy. They could done alot better with even just the cosmetics. And what's with going with different calibers lately? They aren't field legal at any common field. .68 is how the game is going to be played

Yea I would agree the stormer is seriously UGLY! I don't understand the whole 50 cal thing either.... I hear that it is the biggest flop out there, nobody is stocking it in the stores. it doesn't really deliver on its promises.

I still like the look of the mr4 though I just wish that it was 68. does any one know if the shroud is interchangeable with mr2????

If it's designed for a .68 caliber barrel to be inserted through it, it might with some modification. If it's designed for a .50 caliber barrel... well... lots and lots of machining later and it will.

Here is a picture of a pair of Planet Eclipse barrels. The one on the left is .50 cal and the right is .68 cal:

The reason for the back of the .50 cal barrel in this picture to be so large is the fact that it was designed for a conversion kit for the .68 cal Ego's and Etek's. A .50 cal marker typically will come with a barrel the diameter of the skinny part of that barrel.

It's interesting. I think the magazine/magwell looks a little skinny for the size of the rest of the gun, and I don't like that hybrid rail they tried to pull off, with a weaver rail on top of an M16-style sight/carry handle. I'm also surprised they kept the stock from the MR1/MR2. Didn't they supposedly improve it on the MR3?
However, if it's as efficient as it says, it might be worth looking into. Can always fix the cosmetics with my own mods.

Thats crazy guys. The picture of the mr4 on ANS gear doesn't really look like the one that I had originally found.... Here is the link of the one that I had found. I think it looks way better than the other. http://www.jungle-magazine.com/images/big_actu/bignews_h_27_SpyderMR4.jpg

The MR-4 was supposed to be a 50 cal marker but we changed the name of the 50 cal to Stormer and used the MR-4 for the 68 cal version.

you guys can find it on our website right here.
